How does the parking break work and are these self adjusting? Does the parking break require constant electrical power to stay activated? How are they wired and activated?

Dexter trailer brake assemblies # 23-113 and # 23-112 have a bracket, see picture, that you would attach a cable to. At the other end of the cable is a lever. When you pull the lever it pulls the cable that pulls the bracket and pushes the shoes out to make contact with the drum. These brakes are not self-adjusting.
