Question:
2009 BMW 535i xDrive Will the C11498 hitch fit this car? If not this item, is there another? I havent seen a specific hitch recommended for this year and model. All I need it for is connecting a 2 bike rack.

The Curt trailer hitch # C11498 is listed as a fit for all sedan models of the 2009 BMW 5-series so that would include your 535xi with xDrive. I have included a link to a video showing an example installation of this hitch for you.
If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch. For a compatible bike rack I recommend the Swagman Trailhead, # S63360.
Curt also says you have to use stabilization strap # 18050 when using this hitch for any non-trailer load (such as a bike rack or cargo carrier) per their warranty requirements.
