Today, on our 2007 Infiniti G35, we'll be testing the Swagman Trailhead 2 Bike Carrier for an Inch and a Quarter and two inch hitches, part number S63360. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver to the hitch. Line up the pin hole and thread in our anti-rattle bolt, tightening it with a wrench, and installing the clip on the other side. Now, we'll go over some clearance measurement. We have about 13 inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the rear of our vehicle is about 8 inches.
We've added about 20 inches to the overall length of our G35. As you can see, we can easily gain access to the trunk of our vehicle with our carrier in the upright position. If we have some bigger items we would like to load, we can tilt our carrier away from our vehicle by pulling the pin at the base of our carrier. Now, we'll pull the pin at the top of the mast to swing out our dual arms. With these out, we've added about 25 inches to the overall length of our G35.
We'll go ahead and undo the cradle straps, and with our cradles exposed, we'll place our bike under those cradles. We'll secure it by tightening down each strap. Now that our bike's all loaded up, we're ready to hit the road. That complete today's test fit of the Swagman Trailhead 2 Bike Carrier, part number S63360 on our 2007 Infiniti G35.
