Can Curt RV Bumper Mount Trailer Hitch be Installed Upside Down for More Ground Clearance for Bikes

Question:

I bought this hitch from you last year. This year I bought a swagman 3 place bike rack from you. I installed both items on a 39 ft 5th wheel. I also installed aftermarket rear bumper supports . with the bikes loaded on the bike rack the bikes front tire only sit about a foot from the ground. My question is can I install the curt bumper hitch upside down to gain more ground clearance for the bikes

Curt has stated that there is no reason you couldn't install trailer hitch # E-100 with the hitch opening above the bumper. I spoke with my contact at Curt and he confirmed that this would be just fine. This should provide the additional height you need to get the bikes further from the ground.
