what is involved in adding brakes to a trailer with a gross weight limit of 3000 pounds. the flange behind the wheel is present

I attached a help article that covers the entire process, but basically you will need to determine what spindle you have on your trailer so that you can first pick out the correct hub rotor to fit the spindle and then build from there. Once you know what hub you have you will be able to then pick out the correct size brake assemblies.
Having a brake mounting flange is a great start since that can be one of the more difficult things to install if not present.
From there it would be just a matter of wiring up the assemblies. Which is pretty easy since either wire of them can be the power as long as the other gets grounded.
