Based on my research, the 2009 Lexus ES 350 has a towing capacity of 1,000 pounds. I was able to find this information in section 2-5 of the vehicle's online owner's manual. I recommend checking your owner's manual to confirm this information.
The trailer hitch I recommend for your 2009 Lexus ES 350 is the Curt Class II Receiver Hitch # C12343. This hitch will not require any drilling for installation. The Draw-Tite # 36416 will require drilling into the trunk pan of your ES 350. Both of these trailer hitches are confirmed to fit your vehicle and they offer the same towing and tongue weight capacity, which exceed the towing capacity of your vehicle.
The Curt # C12343 offers a 1-1/4 inch receiver and is a fully welded, gloss powder coated hitch with a steel construction. This trailer hitch is made in the USA. In order to comply with Curt's warranty for the hitch, a stabilization strap, # 18050, is required with all non trailer loads, such as bike racks and cargo carriers.
I have attached an installation video of the # C12343 hitch on a similar ES 350 for you.
