Second trailer hitch purchase I've mad through e-trailer and definitely won't be my last. Product arrived on estimated date. The hitch had ripped through the box, although I'm sure this was caused by the shipment company. Doesn't matter really, it's a trailer hitch, it hangs off the back of your car so it won't stay perfect for long. Hitch took about 10 minutes to install (however I am a trained auto tech with access to a lift and full set of tools, so installation won't be as easy for a do-it-yourselfer). I use it to hold a hitch-mounted bike rack. No intentions of ever using it to tow an actual trailer, but it works great for what I use it for.
I am thrilled with the trailer ball & hitch I purchased from you one year ago for my Toyota Camry. I have used the hitch numerous times to rent U-Haul trailers rather than trucks (which you have a mileage fee on) and saved more than triple the cost of my purchase.
As the mom to a college aged daughter, I was the one to help her & her friends move out of the dorms, into their first shared apartment & delivered the gently used furniture we found online to furnish their first digs.
Most recently I helped them move to a furnished shared flat and was able to haul their furniture to both a consignment store & a donation center so that their finds can live on and make other families happy.

Very happy and satisfied with the hitch , very strong material and the website videos made it very easy for anyone to do it .
I installed this hitch on a 2007 Toyota Camry XLE v6. It has a dual exhaust and the installation videos provided were for the 4 cylinder camry with the single exhaust. I had one problem install8ng this hitch. One of the bolts refused to fit correctly back into its designated area. So out of 8 bolts I managed to reinstall 7. I'm a complete amateur, I hate working on cars, but thought I owed a good faith effort. Except for the single troublesome bolt, everything else flowed easily.
This is the second trailer hitch we have purchased from eTrailer. I purchased the latest Curt trailer hitch mainly to hold my e-bike rack. It is very sturdy and can carry, or pull, a lot heavier equipment! It is well made and my son had no problem installing the trailer hitch on my car. Now I can take my bike with me to trails and camping!
Although I bought the product specifically listed for my car - it took hours for my son-in-law to install it because the holes on the car and the trailer did not match up.
(Now that has been installed, it works well.)
Uhaul did the installation so far so good no issues. Satisfied!!!!

The product is perfect. Installation was a breeze, after watching the video's. Installation time was estimated at 45 Min. I had it installed in 30. The packaging is not very good. When the receiver was left on my doorstep, it had burst through the end of the box causing some minor scratching. (It is going to spend the rest of its life under my car, so I doubt a few scratches are worth a reduced rating). I have towed a 5x8 utility trailer with it several times, and it has performed perfectly. No drilling necessary, the only specialty tool required is a torque wrench.

After a year and heavy use, the hitch is holding up well. I still recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a receiver hitch for light duty use on their car.
etrailer provides a good service. the product and wiring sellection was done right . Customer service ordering shipping, tracing was excellent.
I had the trailer hitch installed on our 2007 Camry by my auto mechanic.
His comment was the wiring was a little more "complicated" than other installations
the total installation time was 2 1/2 hours

the trailer hitch is still very reliable. My only suggestion would be to add the plastic plug as part of the hitch package.

Very sturdy hitch and I'm pleased in the end. However, for my 2012 Lexus ES 350, I did have to enlarge one of the eight holes in the hitch to align with those of the car as there was no possibility of inserting this one bolt. The car has never been in an accident to misalign these mounting points so I fault the manufacture of the hitch. So, down the hitch came to do the alteration but in the end it went in easily and is very sturdy.
Shipping was very fast. Product was easy to install and mounted up to strong part of the car's body where the factory had placed weld nuts. The hitch is attractive beneath the bumper and I gave it a coat of wax!
I'm not an auto mechanic; I'm just a simple school teacher, but mounting the hitch receiver was not terribly difficult. I watched the online video, jacked my Camry off the ground, unscrewed all the existing bolts, and put the hitch receiver on without much trouble. An hour and a half later and I was done. Truly a perfect fit. It looks like a professional instal, and I feel accomplished.

Overall good product with good hardware. Only issue I really had was directions saying a 45 minute install? Took me 3-4hours since I live in Wisconsin, things were rusty.

In the past year of havithis hitch, Ive used it several times and each time Im glad I made this purchase. Well worth it if youre looking for an easy way to add towing capabilities to your car.
Solid hitch. I’ve been lugging my bikes around for the last year with no issues at all. Highly recommended. Etrailer also has great service and prices. Lifetime customer.
The hitch was so easy to install! Took my husband forty minutes. He loves its beefy feel - should outlast our Camry, itself. Now we can make quick trips to the dump and haul wood from the woodshed up to the porch...

I was concerned when the box arrived with a taped up hole where the hitch punched through. Luckily the hitch flanges were flat and hole patterns aligned to the car frame. The hitch installed perfectly. I had only one slight complication on this 2010 Lexus ES350. The M10 bolt most outboard on the driver's side is somewhat blocked by the muffler tip. Torquing this bolt required a 6-point socket while flexing the muffler inboard to avoid damaging the bolt head. I appreciate that the end of the receiver tube does not protrude past the bumper. This is a well designed trailer hitch.
TWO MAN JOB! Hitch went on just as described, but definitely NOT a one man job. Prior to purchase I was having a hard time finding info anywhere online about installation on '07 Camry with DUAL EXHAUST. Bought hitch anyway, and can verify that it DOES WORK with dual exhaust setup. Exhaust system was well enough supported that we did not need to use additional support after removing bolts. Be sure hitch brackets are sandwiched BETWEEN frame and exhaust brackets when installing. Excellent design of hitch ensures there is minimum clearance between bottom of bumper and top of hitch, so you get maximum road clearance. Have not pulled anything with it yet, but design looks really SOLID with four bolts in each the two brackets.
My Iowa 2009 Camry has been in a garage it's whole life, so, that helped a lot.
Used [online] etrailer video for ease of work. I took longer than they did as I had to work a bit to de-rust a couple of female bolt threads enough to get a bolt on easily.

Ive had no issues with the hitch. Works perfectly! Id by it again, if I needed it.
Good clear directions from Curt, and a GREAT video from etrailer.com. Only issue in install was the weld nut in the sheet metal support of the muffler hanger was rusted on for me. Had to use a dremel to grind it off, but that is typical here in Wisconsin with road salt, and a seven year old car. Hitch and hardware was great.
The one other annoyance was that the UPC needed for the Curt rebate was stuck to the hitch from Curt so I had to take it off with care for my rebate. Well worth the rebate.
Love the 1 1/4 receiver hitch on my 2010 Lexus ES350. Don't see many Lexus' with trailer hitch but I absolutely love it for hauling my bikes off the back with my Kuat carrier. Ground clearance is excellent as are aesthetics!
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver was delivered on time and arrived in very good condition.
I had watched the on line installation video to get an idea of the steps needed. This confirmed that I could install it with the pre existing weld nuts and support provided by Toyota. The actual instructions provided with the hitch were sufficient without the video.
I would recommend this hitch for this vehicle. Very simple and easy even while laying underneath the back bumper. No lift required.
Hitch delivered on time, well packaged! At least my 10th product from etrailer. Always first class, I will not use any other company for towing or biking needs. Always thanks!
