Question:

I am looking for a carriage cargo aluminum 1 1/4 receiver for Mazda 5 2015. I need it for cargo clean supplies 2 vaccuums, one save bucket and 1 storage bags with towels. Can you tell me what is the good size? Thanks

For a cargo carrier compatible with a 1-1/4 inch receiver hitch on your 2015 Mazda 5, I'd recommend the Curt # C18110. The carrier measures 20 x 48 inches, and features an angled shank to lift the cargo platform by over 3 inches for improved ground clearance. Although none of the carriers we offer that's compatible with your 1-1/4 inch hitch are constructed of aluminum, the # C18110 carrier I mentioned isn't terribly heavy at 30 lbs.

The carrier itself has a 300 lb capacity, which would be limited by the tongue weight capacity of your hitch if it's less than the capacity of the carrier. This is the largest carrier we offer that's compatible with your hitch. You might also be interested in a cargo net like part # RLN1-RTD4, and a locking hitch pin such as part # e98879.

If you don't already have a hitch, I'd recommend the Draw-Tite Class I hitch, part # 24874.
