Will the Thule Snug Tite Lock and Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin Work To Prevent Bike Rack Movement In Hitch
Updated 02/23/2016 | Published 02/21/2016 >
Question:
Hello, I have a thule, 2 inch trailer hitch bike rack. It rattles around a lot in the wind or when going over bumps. Will your product, the THSTL2 Thule Lock and Anti Rattle device secure the Thule trailer rack into the receiver so that it wont move around within the receiver? Or is it mainly just a lock to prevent theft? Thank you very much

Expert Reply:
The Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device # THSTL2 is designed to help limit sway and movement of the bike rack in the trailer hitch, as well as lock the bike rack to the hitch.
The hitch pin in # THSTL2 is threaded to match the threads on the inside of the Thule Parkway, Revolver, Ridgeline, Roadway, Hitching Post Pro, Vertex, Expressway, Trailblazer and T2 bike rack shanks. As the threaded hitch pin is tightened down, it will pull the bike rack shank and hitch receiver together to limit the play of the shank in the hitch.
The lock will attach to the threaded hitch pin to help prevent theft of the bike rack.
I have attached a demonstration video of the lock for you. If you will let me know which Thule bike rack you have, I will be happy to confirm if the Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device is compatible with your bike rack.
