Question:
My boat trailer has a Titan 10 surge actuator. If I convert to electric over hydraulic brakes, how do I stabilize the mechanical sliding telescoping of the original Titan 10 surge actuator assembly?

I spoke to my contact at Titan and he informed me that there really isn't a simple way to lock out the sliding portion of the Model 10 actuators. You would have to either weld the two portions of the actuator together or drill holes through them and bolt the pieces together.
If the actuator is bolted to your trailer the best solution would be to go with the coupler part # T4853100 as this has the same bolt pattern and is a standard coupler.
The Model 20 and 60 couplers can be easily locked out by tightening a bolt near the front of the actuator but not the Model 10.
