Recommended Staple Size for Bunk Board Carpet

What size staple is recommended for stapling bunk board carpet?

We typically try to use 1/2 inch stainless steel staples when we install the CE Smith Deluxe Marine-Grade Carpeting, # CE11372, but 3/8 inch staples will work too. I would not go much shorter than the 3/8 inch staples because you don't want them to work their way out over time. I strongly recommend using stainless steel staples if possible. They will last much longer because they provide the best rust resistance.
