Will Curt Class V Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15302 Fit with Oversized 285mm Width Spare Tire

Question:
What are the inner dimensions of the hitch? I run 285s and would like to know if my oversize spare will still fit? here is a similar question but for another hitch. http://www.etrailer.com/question-54726.html 2007 Chevy 2500HD Classic with 6.5 bed Thanks

According to my technical contact at Curt Manufacturing their Class V Hitch # C15302 will fit your truck, if it were equipped with a standard 265mm wide spare, with about an inch of extra space. The hitch was engineering with this tire size in mind.
With your wider 285mm tire there will be no space between the tire and hitch. The hitch may still bolt up but not without at least contacting the tire.
