Curt Hitch for 2006 GMC Sierra with High Towing Capacities and Fits with Larger Spare

Question:
I have a 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD with a 6.5 bed. I currently have the factory hitch on the truck. I have 285-75R16 tires on the truck and as a spare tire. The larger size spare tire fits under the truck with the factory hitch. The tire is tight against the factory hitch which is OK with me. The receiver tube in the factory hitch is worn due to many years of weight distribution towing. I no longer trust the factory hitch and think it is time for a new hitch. I want to know if my spare will fit if I buy your replacement hitch. Im not changing back to the smaller wimpy looking tires, and carrying the spare tire elsewhere is NOT going to happen.

Expert Reply:
The Curt hitch part # C15302 which fits your 2006 GMC Sierra 2500 would occupy the same amount of space as your factory hitch so if your current spare fit with it would also fit with this hitch.
