Question:
I have a 2015 Yaris 5-door hatchback. Is it easy to install hitch on my Yaris? My brand new 2015 Yaris has a back-up light below the rear bumper! I need to attach my 1.25 inches bike rack to the new Hitch.

The Curt 1-1/4-inch Class I trailer hitch, part # C11480, is a confirmed fit for the 2015 Toyota Yaris Hatchback as long as it is not the SE version. This hitch will bolt on without any drilling required using the hardware that is included with the hitch. Many of the customers that buy a hitch from us choose to do the install themselves.
Apart from basic hand tools the only specialized tool required is a torque wrench, which is needed to ensure the fasteners are tightened to the correct degree as per the written instructions. These can often be borrowed or rented from a local shop.
For reference I have linked both the written instructions and a video showing installation in a 2009 Yaris. I also linked for you two articles with helpful tips for hitch installation. I recommend reviewing these first to help you get familiar with the overall process. Many of the customers that buy a hitch from us choose to do the install themselves.
This Curt hitch is a Class I type, and that means you can carry up to 2 bikes on a compatible Class I bike rack. Please note that not all 1-1/4-inch bike racks are Class I rated. You'll want to ensure your bike rack is rated as Class I.
This hitch requires you to use a stabilizing strap, part # 18050, to help support the bike rack. This is required by Curt in order for you to retain your hitch warranty coverage. If you tow a small trailer at any time you do not need to use the strap in that case.
I have linked you to our main page for all Class I hitch racks that will fit this hitch.
