Just installed it so I don’t have the frame of reference as a user yet. Installed exactly as video showed (2012 Sienna). I had problems removing muffler hanger so I just worked around it. Unless you can pop that off easily, save the time and wiggle hitch in place around the tailpipe. I had help for 3 min from a guy that held the driver side in place while I positioned the passenger side. Fit and finish look great, holes lined up, bolts went in well. As long as it doesn’t fall off the frame (no reason it should), it’s a well earned 5 stars. Only hitch I found that is truly hidden. Worth the extra $ and installation time to not have that bar visible across the back of the van.
Pretty easy to install. Having help would have made it way easier. Follow the instructions They provide and it goes pretty smooth.
Great price and very fast shipment for such a huge box. Well packaged and easy to unpack. (I used the cardboard box to lay on as I did the install!). Directions were excellent. Only difference for my 2013 Toyota Sienna LXE was that all three bolt holes (In each side of frame) were the ones factory taped (Rubber gasket hole does not get used— and I taped over that one). It was tedious, but not hard. I woundn’t call this a 9/10 difficulty. Even cutting the plastic undercover is super easy. The head scratcher was finding out how to pull the bumper off it’s clips after unscrewing it. Overall I was very impressed with the product and the ease of installation. I really LOVE how the bar is hidden behind the bumper and all you really see is the receiver. That is SO worth the few bucks extra from basic models where you do see the entire crossbar. I also love that this is painted satin, not gloss black. Looks extra cool.

This hitch was bought & installed on our 2020 Toyota sienna XLE AWD.
It was shipped and received at my house very fast, impressive. It came well packed with no damage.
My install was a little different than the paper instructions. My under body panel looks different than the instructions but I just held it up and cut out what needed to be removed & it looks great!
If you have one of these vans it’s well worth the money and time to install one, it sits 1 3/4” in from the bumper face. It’s very nice hitch!

A year later and its great! Absolutely seamless, I forget it’s there. Walking past, getting groceries or the stroller, I don’t even think about it until I need to tow. I have zero regrets in buying it.
Took much longer than I anticipated to install, but it looks so clean. Would definitely recommend this hitch over the others it sits well enclosed and perfectly flush on my 2013 Sienna
Installed in a matter of a couple of hours by myself. I used a QuickJack to raise the car up. Otherwise, I would have had a time getting under there. Also used a floor jack with some 4x4s to raise the hitch in place, and then secured with a tie down before getting the 1st couple of bolts in. The image for the cutting of the undertray is not very accurat; you'll need to cut more than shown. Hauled my dirt bike with a HF carrier and had no issues. Definitely recommend this hitch and believe it was worth the extra work to install the hidden version.

No complaints. Still glad I went with the hidden version, both for aesthetics and ground clearance issues. Will probably get another for one of my other vehicles at some point.
I love my new etrailer hitch on my 2014 Toyata Sienna Van. It looks like a factory install and was very easy to bolt on. I can't wait to start using it for my ebike rack, I'm very happy with it to say the least. I would definitely buy from them again if I needed another one.

Heavy duty, great finish, easy install. Mae sure you have torque wrench extension for the exhaust side. Hard to get around the pipe, even with pipe off hanger. But got it done.
Extremely happy with this purchase! It came super fast and fit like a glove. The instructions were very easy to follow and they also had a video that gave great tips and made the project even easier. I highly recommend this product!
Sturdy, high quality, easy to install. I like that it preserves the limited clearance under the vehicle. I have a 2016 AWD Sienna and plan to use it for a Rockymounts 2-bike rack with a Kuat swingarm. The videos on e-trailer made installation as easy as it could be. I was able to do the job alone without lifting the back end of the vehicle (helps that I'm a small woman). I suggest if you do the same, use something to prop up the driver's side of the hitch and the receiver (I used landscaping bricks) when it comes time to install the bolts, so you're only lifting the passenger side while getting that first bolt in.

We’ve taken it on a couple of trips using our swing arm and bike rack. No issues, couldn’t be happier.
The best looking hitch for the Sienna! The installation video was easy to follow, and didn't take us more than an hour and a half to install. We didn't end up removing the bumper/facia and bent those little tabs back, and cut the plastic cover as the video showed - worked like a charm. The hitch looks heck of a lot nicer than others I've seen out there. Fits our bike rack perfectly, and is tucked away when not in-use. Great product, stoked we went with this model. Thank you!
I was worried this hitch would be too big and hang too low for my 2011 Sienna but I was wrong. The hitch is built heavy but to very accurate tolerances. The instructions were complete and straightforward so putting this hitch on was a piece of cake. Everything tucked up nicely and I'm not gonna bottom out in the driveway. Good accurate directions on how to trim the under liner also. Buy this one!

Hi Sterling! Your install looks great. It is much easier with a buddy for sure. It seems like you got the job done solo though. Now the question is, what are you using it for?
Installed just like the video on your website. Very DIY friendly. Definitely make sure you have a torque wrench. I used some small car tire lifts to get a little more clearance and was able to install it easily in my driveway. 2020 sienna installation went great.
This hitch has been excellent. This style of hitch requires removing body paneling and cutting a slot in the rear underbody cover. This is to be expected and is not a big deal. What is a big deal though, was that this hitch lined up will all mounting holes perfectly! Overall, this is a great hitch.

The product is perfect for Siennas, dont get a different one. Lined up with built in mounting holes on my 2014. The install video was superb and easy to follow. I ended up not removing the exhaust and just pushing it out of the way (1/2"). Just need a flathead screw driver for all the panel clips, philips for the screws, and 19mm socket/ extention for the hitch mounting bolts. I just put a jack stand on one end while I got one screw hand twisted into the muffler side, then got the screws in the driver side before going back and getting the remaining screws on the muffler side. Easy DIY, just set aside a couple hours. Happy to be able to use our bike and cargo racks!
Great instructional videos for installation on a 2015 Sienna XLE, looks great, hidden nicely under the plastic under cover. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to add a hitch receiver.

The hitch is hardly noticeable under your Sienna, Rafi! What are you going to use the hitch for?
I bought and installed this hitch about a year ago before a long family trip to Maine to carry a new four-bike Hollywood rack. (Also terrific!) A year later, it's still going strong and works great. Installation was a breeze, though you will want to have an adjustable torque wrench handy to get the torque correctly dialed in. I borrowed one from a neighbor. As other reviewers mentioned, I was able to just pull the fascia back and get it installed without actually removing it entirely, which saved a lot of time and hassle. I used some WD40 on the bolts and the ones you need to remove to make that easier. I love the hidden look of the hitch and I'm stoked to have this capability now on our 2014 Sienna. Highly recommend!
Great hitch. I did NOT remove the bumper fascia. There are two metal tabs that can be slightly bent to get the hitch in place. I did grind down a couple of the screws that have a 10mm head because they were hitting the hitch. Also, my plastic sub pan was different from the one in the instructions but it just requires some gentle trimming which is easy to figure out. And is soft as warm butter to cut. The hidden hitch with a difficulty 9 rating looks so much better than the hitch with the structure below. And has to have better aerodynamics. Totally worth it especially since you don't actually have to remove the bumper cover so it's really only a little harder. I'm an experienced mechanic and it took me 2 1/2 hours total time and I don't rush. I also use loctite even though they don't say to. And a torque wrench. Etrailer never steers me wrong. I really appreciate that they filter their products. I've never received poor quality product which saves me time. ??

I purchased and tried to install a bolt on hitch receiver from Amazon that ended up not fitting. I returned that unit and purchased this single piece product. I also liked the concealed look where all this is visible is the 2x2 receiver. Installation was smooth, hardware was very nice, and the fit was perfect! I am looking forward to towing a utility trailer for bikes and other larger items for family outings!

Product still performing as expected. No rust or wear and I continue to be happy with its hidden profile compared to other stupid, ugly hitches I see on other Sienna minivans. Then again, we are drivers of minivans, so should we really be giving any concern for appearance?
