Does etrailer Hitch For 2016 Toyota Sienna Have Bike Rack Limitations
Updated 03/04/2026 | Published 02/04/2026 >
Question:
Hello, When using the e98853 hitch with back racks, are there any limitations or requirements? E.g. Ive seen others that do not allow use with vertical bike racks, or when using a bike rack you must stabilizing straps. Much Thanks, Kyle

Hey Kyle! The only limitation the etrailer Hitch # e98853 has is the tongue weight capacity. As long as you aren't over the 525 lb tongue weight capacity of the hitch it can handle the bike rack. You also want to make sure you don't exceed the tongue weight capacity of your Sienna.
Do you already have a bike rack or are you planning ahead so you know which racks are compatible?

Hey Kyle, how did things go using the e98853 hitch with your back racks? Did staying within the tongue weight limits work out for your setup? Your update could make it easier for others looking to carry bikes the same way.
