With the B&W Turnoverball underbed gooseneck trailer hitch you get the best of both worlds. When you go to tow, the Turnoverball creates a sturdy, dependable connection with your gooseneck trailer. And when you're done towing, you can stow the ball upside down in the hitch to get full bed access and a clean appearance.

Easy-to-Remove, Simple-to-Store Hitch Ball

The durable steel hitch ball included with the Turnoverball system secures in the hitch with a sturdy, 5/8" thick steel pin that is incorporated into the end of the operating handle. To lock the ball in place, drop it into the hitch hole in the bed of your truck. Then rotate the handle in your driver's-side wheel well counterclockwise until the latch engages. When the latch is engaged, the spring-loaded pin on the end of the handle will be inserted all the way through the base of the hitch ball, forming a strong, solid connection and ensuring absolute security when you're towing.

B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Operation

When you're done towing, remove the hitch ball by simply pulling the handle out as far as it will go and then rotating it clockwise until it unlatches. Remove the ball, flip it upside down, and drop it back into the ball hole of the hitch. Then reengage the latch to secure the stowed ball in place.

Unlike typical gooseneck balls - which have round bases - the Turnoverball hitch ball is designed with a square base. This makes latching the ball in the hitch easier because the base won't rotate inside of the hitch like a round base might, so lining the pin up is a snap. The base of the ball also fits tightly within the ball hole during storage. Because only the corners of the base contact the sides of the socket, any dirt or grime that gets into the hitch will fall through the socket, thus helping to prevent any buildup that could cause the ball to seize up in the hitch.

Simple, Custom Installation

This hitch is custom designed for your vehicle. The included mounting brackets bolt to existing holes in your truck's frame. While some modification is required - you will need to cut a 4" diameter hole in your bed for the hitch ball and drill holes for the built-in safety chain loops - there is no need to weld onto or to drill into your frame.

Once you have the hitch brackets and body installed, set up the operating handle. This handle is designed to be accessed from the rear driver's-side wheel well. On the end of the handle is the heavy-duty steel pin that secures the hitch ball.

B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Accessories

B&W makes it easy to tow just about anything. With the many adapters and accessories available, the Turnoverball can be made to work with almost any gooseneck trailer. Hitch balls are available that have a built-in rise, an offset, and even a different connection type. Add on the Companion fifth-wheel hitch - which attaches directly to the Turnoverball with no other parts required - and you can tow your fifth-wheel trailer.

  • Is the Curt Gooseneck Hitch as Good as the B&W for My 2025 GMC Sierra 3500HD?
Hi Om, Congrats on the new truck! What is your favorite new feature? We always aim to carry the best brands, and while Curt is definitely a solid choice, B&W is the cream of the crop! Their products are not only top-tier in quality, but they’re also made right here in the USA, which we love to support. For your 2025 GMC Sierra 3500, the correct B&W kit is #BWGNRK1020. It looks like it wasn’t showing up in our fit guide because we’re currently waiting on inventory. Good news though, it...

  • Can I Transfer B&W Companion BWRVK3400 Over To New 2025 GMC 2500 HD?
Hello Joe, thanks for reaching out. If you were to install a B&W Tunoverball Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNRK1020 you would be able to easily transfer your # BWRVK3400 5th wheel hitch to your new truck. If your new 2025 GMC 2500 HD comes with the factory puck system in the bed, you will need to buy a new base to fit the puck system. You will be able to re use the head unit from your BWRVK3400 hitch so you can buy just the base and save a bit of money. If your new GMC is a short bed, use the...

Hello Nick, The Hitch ball for the Curt # C60642 will sit above or slightly forward of the rear truck axle. I attached 2 pictures of the underbody of the 2022 GMC Sierra, as you can see that the Curt # C60642 sits in the same spot as the B&W # BWGNRK1020.

  • Is There An Aftermarket Gooseneck/Puck System For A 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500
Hey Billy, There unfortunately isn't an aftermarket puck system for your 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500 so you can either install base rails to mount 5th wheel hitch or install a B&W Turnoverball # BWGNRK1020 to be able to tow using a gooseneck hitch ball or mount in their Companion # BWRVK3500-5W for 5th wheel towing. You'll also want to install an in-bed 7-way # PK11893-11932 to make connecting your 5th wheel/gooseneck trailer's 7-way cable easier. If your truck bed has the oblong cutout...

  • Will Air Lift Air Bags Work on a 2021 GMC Sierra 2500 w/ a B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch?
Hey Greg, they're not going to work together. The clamps that attach the Air Lift Air Springs like item # AL88341 hang over your frame right where the brackets for the B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch item # BWGNRK1020 sit. You'll want to go with the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs item # F2709 for your 2021 GMC Sierra 2500. These install beneath the frame where your bump stop mounts sit so there's no compatibility issues. They're slightly more expensive...

  • Where Does Curt Gooseneck Ball for 2020 Silverado 2500 Install Relative to Rear Axle
When the Curt Custom Underbed OEM-Style Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # C60642 is installed it will center the gooseneck ball right over the rear axle of the truck. The Pullrite 3900 is designed to attach directly to a gooseneck hitch ball like this so it would work well. The 2900 requires fifth wheel rails so it would.

Hey Adam! All you need to use the Andersen Aluminum Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection 2 Gooseneck # 3220 is a gooseneck hitch. The best option is going to be the B&W Turnoverball # BWGNRK1020. The Turnoverball allows the ball to be stored upside down so you have full bed access when not in use. It also gives you the option to use the B&W Companion # BWRVK3500-5W if you ever decide you want to use a traditional 5th wheel hitch. Then for a 7-way in your bed you can use the # C53CR which plugs...

  • Will Pacbrake Alpha XD Fit 2025 GMC Sierra 3500 With B&W Turnoverball
Hi Rene; the Pacbrake Alpha XD # PB52RV will fit your 2025 GMC Sierra 3500. The only exception is if you have Curt 5th wheel brackets so your Turnoverball # BWGNRK1020 won't impact fitment. I also recommend adding an air compressor like the Pacbrake Bravo # PB59MV or PacBrake Bravo - XD Compressor # PB68SV so you can adjust the air pressure wherever you go from the cab of the truck. What kind of trailer are you towing?

  • Does Removing OEM Gooseneck Hitch Require Removing My Truck Bed?
Hello Sean, thanks for reaching out. You should not have to remove the bed to remove the OEM gooseneck hitch on your truck. On most factory OEM gooseneck systems (Ford, Ram, GM), the hitch is mounted to a frame-mounted crossmember system under the bed, not welded in. The typical removal process is all done from under the truck, with access through the wheel wells and the center hole in the bed. The same will go for installing the B&W gooseneck. You don't need to take the bed off. What...

  • Why Do Reese and B and W Gooseneck Balls for 2025 Chevy Silverado Locate Balls in Different Location
Hey Aaron, welcome back! This is a great question but basically the answer is that not every hitch manufacturer locates the ball in the exact same location in the truck bed. The acceptable range is right above the rear axle up to a few inches (nothing specific) forward of it. Both the Reese kit part # RP57KR and the B and W # BWGNRK1020 fall within this range. Is your truck a long or short bed? If its a short bed I would go with the ball further back as that will give you slightly better...

If it were a standard gooseneck hitch without any cushioning then yes, you would have ride quality issues. Owners of the # RP94716 praise the difference this pin box makes in ride quality, but the air chuck location is less than ideal on this model.
