Hi Ryan!

After installing the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNRK1020 on your 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500HD, the B&W Companion Slider Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs # BWRVK3400 will indeed be the correct slider for your standard bed. It will go right into the hole that the gooseneck ball would typically be installed in and you are good to go.

Just be aware the Companion # BWRVK3400 weighs almost 300 pounds (280 pounds, to be exact), so I do recommend grabbing the B&W 5th Wheel Lifting Device # BWRVXA3130. It can be hooked up to a winch or other lifting device to make the removal and install a lot easier.

What kind of 5th wheel will you be towing?

Hey Ryan, how did the Companion slider work out with your Silverado after adding the Turnoverball underbed hitch? Your update could make it easier for others setting up a similar towing setup.

@LazerS The B&W Companion hitch was easy to put together and install into my truck. The only difficulty was the weight, but the hitch is stout and very strong. The weight does add a degree of confidence in the quality of the product.

@Ryan Haha! Yeah they are definitely beefy. But I agree, heavy with these means heavy duty and they last a good long time. Have fun out there and let me know if there is anything else I can help with. : )
