Features to know about

Enhance Trailer Stability: Progressive Spring Rate Jounce Springs

Conquer rough roads with ease as SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs progressively adjust their rigidity based on the load. These jounce springs provide exceptional stability and diminish trailer sway, acting like shock absorbers that cushion your journey, especially when cornering or swerving. Perfect for single, overslung axles, they support 5,000 to 8,000 lbs. Effortlessly tackle off-center loads and wild rides knowing your trailer is in good hands.

Smooth and Comfortable Rides: Increased Ride Height and Weight Support

Say goodbye to bottoming out! These helper springs elevate your trailer’s ride height while delivering additional support to your leaf springs. Capable of handling up to a 900 lb capacity at 50% compression, they significantly enhance suspension, handling, and safety, ensuring every journey is smooth and comfortable.

Easy Installation: No-Drill Design and Maintenance-Free

Ditch the drill and complicated installations! The SumoSprings come with a no-drill design and comprehensive mounting hardware, including two jounce-style springs and a line relocation bracket. Simple to install, they eliminate the need for air pressure adjustments, blending convenience with performance. Built with patented micro-cellular urethane, they promise long-term durability without leaking or rupturing.

Combat Rough and Bumpy Roads: Reduces Vibrations and Absorbs Shocks

These springs are a true game-changer for hauling heavy loads over less-than-perfect roads. By absorbing vibrations and shocks, they reduce the strain on your leaf springs, decreasing vibration-induced wear and ensuring your trailer's suspension system lasts longer. Enjoy reduced body roll and less chucking during those long hauls across the country.

Tailor Your Setup: Adjustable with Spacers

For those who seek a custom fit, the SumoSprings come with four 1/2" spacers, allowing for precise adjustments to match your trailer’s specific needs. If you require more height, additional spacers can be sourced easily from local hardware stores to achieve perfect compatibility and enhance performance.

Peace of Mind Towing: Built to Last with Lifetime Warranty

Invest in a product made in the USA with the confidence of a limited lifetime warranty and a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Designed to work with a well-maintained suspension system, these helper springs reduce the overall cost of ownership, promising both improvement in your ride quality and peace of mind for years to come.

  • Can I Install Sumo Springs On A Curt Axle With ABS (Anti Lock Braking System)
That is a great question. Curt (formerly Lippert) has very recently started offering ABS axles for newer Solitude models. We have not gotten a chance to attempt to install a Sumo Spring kit like the # SS26MV on an axle with the anti lock braking system. It certainly will be an issue with these Curt axles going forward. As of right now it we cannot say with certainty what will fit and what won't. That said, we do not recommend modifying the clamps or brackets in any way as this will void...

  • Will Over/Under Kit Work With MORryde X-Factor Crossmember
Hey Peyton, Yes, those things are all indeed compatible as the crossmember won't come into contact with the over/under kit. As for the correct kit, that depends on the size of your Keystone Cougar's axles. For 2-3/8" diameter axles use the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-384-00; for 3" diameter axles use the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-385-00. Then you can use the SumoSprings but you need to have between 5-5/16" and 6-1/2" of clearance...

  • Recommended SumoSprings For A 2016 Forest River Wildwood 28DBUD Travel Trailer
Hey Lance, To determine the correct SumoSprings for your 2016 Forest River Wildwood 28DBUD we'll need to first see if your leaf springs sit above or below the axle and we'll need to know the axle capacity. If your springs sit above the axle then you have overslung suspension and if they sit below the axle you have an underslung suspension. For the capacity you likely have a 3,500-4,400lb axles but you can verify by looking at the axle for the a sticker that lists the capacity. I've separated...

  • Recommended Replacement Shackles and Wet Bolts for a 2020 Grand Design Solitude 380FL
Sorry about your troubles, I would be worried about the other ones failing too. To replace the shackles and wet bolts you will want to use the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit with either 2-1/4" Strap Kit item # MR46ZR or a 3-1/8" Strap Kit item # MR76ZR. You will need to measure the length of your current shackles and pick the kit closest to them. As far as replacing your leaf springs and equalizers go there's no better time to do it if you're already replacing your shackles and wet bolts....

  • How to Reduce Ford F-250 Jiggling From Grand Design Travel Trailer
There are a few different things you can do to help with this. It would also be helpful to know what kind of jiggling you're experiencing. Does it just feel bouncy and rough? Is it side to side motion? If your travel trailer weight is more than 50% of your trucks GVWR then it would be a good idea to use a weight distribution hitch which will level you out and reduce sway. If it is more like a rough ride then you could try an upgraded equalizer, shocks, or adding something like SumoSprings...

  • Will The SumoSpring Trailer Helper Springs Help To Reduce The Trailer Jerking and Chucking?
While the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs # SS26MV are primarily designed to assist the leaf springs on the trailers and smoothen out the road shock being transferred from the wheels to the trailer it will only have a minimal impact on jerking and chucking. The best way to help with chucking and jerking is with a Cushioned Hitch # SHK29VR or Pin Box # MR94VR depending on your application. If you can tell me what trailer you have along with the truck and method of towing you are currently...

  • Recommended Suspension Upgrade for a 2021 Grand Design Solitude
Hey Frank. The SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs w/ Line Relocation Bracket item # SS26MV you were looking at are going to take some of the bounce out of your trailer's suspension. They will smooth out your ride as they essentially act like shock absorbers so you won't feel as much of the road. You'll need two sets for a tandem axle trailer. I also saw you were looking at the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit w/ Shock Absorbers item # RM-2460-2580. This is by far the...

  • Can I Use Helper Springs on My 2020 Grand Design Solitude Fifth Wheel with 2 Axles Rated at 7k?
Hello Steve, Yes, you can most definitely add helper springs! This is a great way to improve your ride quality better while towing. I see that the 2020 Grand Design Solitude Fifth Wheel comes with 2 axles rated at 7k so you will want one of the following: If your leaf springs are located at the top of your axle you will want the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs w/ Line Relocation Bracket - Single Axle - 5K to 8K - Overslung # SS26MV. If your leaf springs are located under the axle...

  • Replacement Suspension Components for 2024 Big Tex 16GN
Hi Conrad! That doesn't sound good, hopefully it didn't cause you too much of a problem when those bolts failed. I would be happy to help you find some upgraded parts. However, we don't have a way of knowing what is on a particular trailer. It looks like you have 8k axles with a slipper spring suspension on there so there isn't a lot that can be swapped out/upgraded. Depending on your bolt measurements you may be able to add wet bolts like # 126B2. If you can get your leaf spring measurements...

  • Recommended Sumo Springs for a 2022 Grand Design Reflection 5th Wheel
For your 2022 Grand Design Reflection has overslung axle which means your springs sit over your axle, then you can use the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs w/ Line Relocation Bracket # SS26MV. If you have underslung axles meaning your springs sit under your axles, then you'd need the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs w/ Line Relocation Bracket # SS33HR instead. These springs will work with 5,000 to 8,000 lbs, tandem axles, and has a simple no drill install.

  • Recommended Pin Box an Suspension Upgrade for a 2025 Venture Sporttrek 353VIK 37’ 5th Wheel
Hey Tom, congrats on the new 5th wheel trailer and thank you so much for all of the information! I recommend the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel Pin Box item # GY68GR. The Gen-Y has a rubber torsion spring design that helps absorb both downward and upward movements from the trailer when hitting a bump in the road. Other shock absorbing pin boxes, like the Curt Flex Air item # LC369535, use an air spring and shock that are great for downwards forces but aren't the best at pulling...

  • Is It Normal To Have a Different Amount of Spacers for the Sumo Springs Trailer Hepler Springs
I spoke with Super Springs about your SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs w/ Line Relocation Bracket # SS26MV and they said that it is normal to have different amount of spacers on each side and they recommend you leave it as is, as to much compression can cause issues with that spring, but as long as you are in the targeted range it is fine.

  • Solution for Replacing Curt Turning Point on 2024 Grand Design Reflection 295RL
Hey Scott! The Turning Point bolt pattern is unique so the Helux isn't an option. In fact, none of the cushioned pin boxes with a standard king pin are able to replace the Turning Point. Does your daughter have a long bed? If so, she could switch to a gooseneck setup using the Gen-Y # GY48GR or the Shocker Hitch # SHK69YR. If it is a short bed clearance may be an issue. It looks like that Reflection already has the CRE3000 equalizers on it so that isn't an upgrade that can help. Another...

  • Recommended Trailer SumoSprings For A 2014 Keystone Cougar 19RBLTravel Trailer
Hey Clark, Trailer SumoSprings are based on axle capacity and the orientation of the leaf springs. You'll want to match the capacity of the spring to the axle's capacity and also take a look to see whether your leaf springs sit above or below the axles. If they sit above then you have an overslung suspension, if they sit below you have an underslung suspension. • What AllTrek4000, Sumo Springs, and Leaf Springs do I Need for My 2016 Voltage 4150 5th Wheel?
Hello Nathan, I reached out to MorRyde, and they informed me that the SRE4000 has been discontinued and is being replaced by the AllTrek4000. I went out to our warehouse and was able to confirm that the 35" wheelbase # MR77ZR is indeed the AllTrek4000. Unfortunately, I don’t have access to a database that shows what suspension system is installed on specific campers (though it would be pretty sweet if something like that existed), so you'll need to verify your axle spacing. • Can Additional Spacers Be Added To SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs?
I have seen an additional spacer added to the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs # SS26MV. The kit does include four 1/2" spacers already for customizing your fit. If you need an additional 1" Spacer # A25723-90AH00 you would need to source longer bolts from a local hardware store.

The one thing you'll want to check though is that you have 5-5/16" - 6-1/2" between the top of the spring plate and the bottom of the trailer frame. • Are There Extra Spacers for the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs
I do have an option for you but SuperSprings does not offer any additional spacers for the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs part # SS26MV. That said, we do still have spacers that will work for this, the Timbren Spacer part # A25723-90AH00 for 1" or part # TA25722-90P00. These won't be the exact same as the ones that came with this kit but they will still work well. In regards to the carriage bolts, you'll need to source this locally from a hardware store.

  • Best Trailer Suspension Upgrade For Under $1,000
Hi James! I was able to find one whole picture of the underside of a 2024 Grand Design Momentum MAV 27MAV (insert a sigh here), but no actual axle info. However, with the fully loaded weight being right at 11,000 pounds, you most likely have 5,200 to 7,000 pound axles and the picture I found showed the axle under the leaf springs (overslung). With that information, I recommend going with the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs w/ Line Relocation Bracket - Single Axle - 5K to 8K - Overslung...

  • Best Sumo Springs For 2024 Open Range Roamer 364BSH
Hello Camilo, thanks for reaching out. For your 2024 Open Range Roamer 364BSH I recommend the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs # SS33HR. These are made for axles rated between 5,000-lbs and 8,000-lbs. I am not sure exactly what axles are on your camper since that info is not listed online, but since your GVWR is 13,500 lbs your axles must be rated for something like 7,000 lbs apiece. I do suggest that you check your axle tag to verify the weight capacity but as long as it is between 5K...

Looking at the specs for your trailer your axles must be in the 5K to 8K range. If your leaf springs sit on top of the axle (overslung) you need # SS26MV and if they run under the axle (underslung) you need # SS33HR. You will need a quantity of two, one pair for each axle.
