Will Over/Under Kit Work With MORryde X-Factor Crossmember

I have a 2023 Keystone Cougar Half Ton 5th Wheel model 23MRE. I need some lift in the suspension to better fit my 3/4 ton Ram, so I would like to use the Dexter axle flip kit along with new shackle hangers and brass bushings. If I do that, will the Morryde X Factor cross members still fit to reinforce the hangers? Also, I was thinking of the Sumo shocks above the leaf springs. Does all that sound compatible? Id love the Roadmaster system, but its quite expensive.

Hey Peyton,
Yes, those things are all indeed compatible as the crossmember won't come into contact with the over/under kit. As for the correct kit, that depends on the size of your Keystone Cougar's axles. For 2-3/8" diameter axles use the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-384-00; for 3" diameter axles use the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-385-00.
Then you can use the SumoSprings but you need to have between 5-5/16" and 6-1/2" of clearance between the top of the spring plate and bottom of your trailer frame. You may want to wait to see how the clearance will change with the over/under kit before going to this to see if you have that. For 3,000 lb to 5,000 lb axles use SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs # TSS-107-40; for 5,000 lb to 8,000 lb axles use the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs # # SS26MV.

A closer inspection revealed that the axle is ALREADY above the springs on the Cougar 23MLE! So instead I am opting for 2" spacer blocks to give me the lift. Then probably the Sumo Springs as well
