Can you put helper leaf spring of 5th wheel RV Campers ?

Hello Steve,

Yes, you can most definitely add helper springs! This is a great way to improve your ride quality better while towing. I see that the 2020 Grand Design Solitude Fifth Wheel comes with 2 axles rated at 7k so you will want one of the following:

If your leaf springs are located at the top of your axle you will want the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs w/ Line Relocation Bracket - Single Axle - 5K to 8K - Overslung # SS26MV.

If your leaf springs are located under the axle you will want the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs w/ Line Relocation Bracket - Single Axle - 5K to 8K - Underslung # SS33HR.

I included an image of an install that we did here at etrailer so you can see where they sit after installed.

I have set up many of our customers with these helper springs and have only heard great things about the difference that it makes, I can't wait for you to tell me how you like them after you get things set up so I can keep that streak going.

Hi Kate ! Thanks for replying to my question. Yeah, a few trips planned. Florida… Key West. Yellowstone And a Northern Michigan trip.

@Kate Wow, that sounds like quite the year of trips. I have not been to Yellowstone yet, but have heard that it is amazing! Michigan is definitely on my list, fishing is great up there.
