The 2" SHANK is too large. Unfortunately I used a hammer to install the SHANK onto a standard 2" receiver. I was very disappointed in this item. Don't buy it. It might have fit, if they didn't paint it or had the fabricated bends in the SHANK that goes into the 2" receiver. Time for QC. Hope I can get it off my vehicle. Don't take it out on Etrailer...they try to do the right thing regarding customer service.

super fast shipping on the rack. there was a slight issue with the paint or powder coating on one of the lower support brackets but a quick email to the company was promptly answered within a few hours and a resolution was made in the matter. great customer support.
the rack is a beast that’s for sure. i needed a way to transport a big two stage snowblower and other various items i’m always bothering my friends who own trucks to let me use! this rack is a much more affordable solution for me tag buying a truck! protip: a dolly platform makes life easier rolling this into position to your receiver hitch,
the bend in the support arm that raises the platform up of the ground is paramount. had i bought a rack that wasn’t raised up these few extra inches i’d be scraping my driveway pulling in and out. assembly was super easy. not much to it at all.
Excellent product; the depth of the cargo carrier is second to none, and I've loaded it up plenty with 300+ lbs, and it handles in no problem. The price is great too.
I bought this so I could take my e-trike camping with me. This carrier hooked into my motorhome easily. My trike traveled safely on the carrier and I was able to enjoy riding it while camping. Great purchase. Would buy again!

it is a great carrier. we use the carrier to transport a electric tricycle e-bike. works perfect, i added swivel wheels to the carrier corners due to our RV carrier some times dragging. swivel wheels solved the problem
Hitch works well to transport Lectric trike on back of Class C motorhome. Added magnetic hauling lights plugged into trailer towing plug to corners for additional safety.
The hitch has worked great. I use it for hunting my deer cart fits on it nicely and so do the deer.
I only gave an average rating because the carrier was not easy to assemble without slight modification. The bolt holes for assembly were blocked by the steel mesh. I cut the mesh that covered several of the holes with a rotary disc cutter.

I will share this information with the manufacturer as this is an unusual case.
Does what I expected.2010 FJ Cruiser. Assemble was very easy. The problem with past posts of getting the bolts to pass thru the wire mesh has been fixed as well as the reflective tape. Great job on delivery. I will use this cargo carrier for travel and when out surf fishing. The wagon I have will just fit on this carrier and make getting to the beach and back a cleaner experience.
This rack works well and I have not experienced any issues to this point. Only comment is I wish it was a foot longer to accommodate an etrike bike.
The carrier worked great on the backof my wife's SUV. She carried an electric recumbant trike and it fit well. Had to let some air out of the two front wheels to fit inside the lip, but traveled well across the country.It is heavy, which of course is good and bad, and makes it difficult to place in receiver by yourself.
Product is exactly as expected, very good quality, easy to assemble and serves the purpose I bought it for.
I simply used a device to prevent rattling and it works great.
I can also still open the trunk on a Atlas with some cargo on it which makes things very convenient.
I would recommend w/o any hesitation.

After some searching this was the answer to our need. I did some modifications to accommodate our 2 folding tadpole trikes and the total weight of the trikes and rack is still more than 50 lb's below the listed capacity. We have driven in 4 states with no problem.
Etrailer had the best price, free shipping, and it arrived faster than they estimated!
