Hello, I am looking at this cargo carrier Reese PS1040100 and was wondering if it has the ability to connect a hitch to the end of it? I would like to mount my generator on the cargo carrier behind my SUV and then attach a small trailer behind the cargo carrier as well. Thank You.

Hey Carolyn, that's a good question, because it definitely looks like that open receiver at the end of the Reese Cargo Carrier # PS1040100 could be used for an additional accessory or ball mount, but unfortunately looks are deceiving in this case. This carrier isn't built to add anything like that to it, it just happens to have a hollow square tube running down the center.
One alternate option if your trailer has an A-Frame is to use the Stromberg Carlson Tray # CC-255 for the generator. This would just mount to the A-Frame behind the coupler. I attached a customer-submitted image just so you can see what it looks like.

Hey Carolyn, did the Stromberg Carlson Tray work out for mounting your generator? I’d love to know how it went, as it could help others trying to set up a similar configuration.
