Today we'll be taking a look at the replacement operator mechanism for the Maxxair MaxxFan Plus or MaxxFan Deluxe roof vents. This is going to be a direct replacement from Maxxair for that crucial component to actually open up your vent or fan. You can see when I turn this small portion that little hex portion turns. So that's what's going to open or close our vent and provide us with good circulation inside our RV or camper. This is a fit for the Maxxair MaxxFan Plus part number MA00-04500K or the Maxxair Deluxe MA00-070003 or MA00-0700K. That's for the powered lift roof vent.It doesn't come with any other hardware.
It just comes with the mechanism and then this small bushing to go over that portion there. It will reuse the same hardware to attach this in place. It'll get you back to working with your vent. If you need any other replacement parts for your Maxxair fan, check out etrailer.com for more replacement parts. That's going to do it for our look at the replacement operator mechanism for the Maxxair MaxxFan Plus or MaxxFan Deluxe roof vents..

Replaces the operator mechanism for your MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus or MaxxAir Deluxe powered lift roof vent.Just what I needed and it arrived very quickly. Thanks for the great service!
I included pictures of the broken device - the metal just shattered. The new one fit perfectly to the vent.
Perfect fit....used it several times and it seems to work fine. Hope this part holds up better than the original part....its been a year now, so we will see.
Replaced one last year when the original factory installed one disintegrated. Sure enough a second did same thing so I bought two more and replaced the second which was disintegrated also and the third one was cracked. Well worth the money and with about a week delivery I highly recommend etrailer!!!
Casing was fit for the replacement. But the worm gear shaft was too short for the model fan I have (never dud figure that out since it was not obvious on the device). All was not lost, I was able to break open the failed mechanism's casing and swap the worm gears. Successful repair with some RV-top engineering.
The assembly did not fit the operating stem to open and close the MaxxAir plus vent cover fan in my class c. However, the screw gear is what was broken in my MaxxAir original fan.I disassembled the mechanism, removed the new screw gear, and this fit in the original mechanism, so I installed the new screw gear in the old housing mechanism. This worked, but the vent cover could open fully because I had to allow for full closure for the vent cover.
Shipped quickly and got my MaxxAir Fan working properly again. Install was pretty easy, Just need a phillips screwdriver and some patience. Took me a few tries to get the range of motion properly set. Hopefully the replacement lasts longer than the original lasted (18 months).
The product fit perfect as expected. The only issue I had was that I ordered on September 11th and it did not arrive until September 27th. The notification when I first ordered indicated it was going to be delivered the next day. The destination is Ontario Canada. You may want to update your notification system and account for delays when shipping internationally.
Our MaxxFan works great again. Amidst supply issues it said it was on backorder for 6 months, but we received it within about a month. Very pleased!!
This gearbox is pretty much the same poor quality as the original gearbox that came with the fan. I have three fans and have replaced these gearboxes so much that I now carry a spare or two. In spite of the poor quality, I continue to use this part because I can't find anything else that will work.
At least it fits properly.
This Replacement Operator Mechanism was exactly what we needed to make our MaxxAir Fan work like new. It was easy to install (after watching a couple of YouTube videos)
It was a smooth process to order from etrailer but it took awhile for them to get it back in stock. etrailer was great & kept us informed of the whole process It was shipped out to us fast once they got it.
This is exactly what was needed to repair my customer’s MaxxAir Vent
Although the model number matched my fan, the actuator shaft was too short. I was able to take the unit apart & reuse my old long shaft because only my old housing had split open. Installation was as recommended from the top & fairly easy. Other than that, the product works great.
Easy to find part on etrailer web page. Quick and seamless delivery options.
This is the weak point in a maxxair fan. Very flimsy, but easy to replace.
Works as advertised - Easy to install and there have been no issues to date. I'm using the trailer at least 3 weeks a month so the fan gets routine usage.
Excellent. Got that MaxxAir fan back to operating as it should. Quick shipping was a plus!
The Maxxair fan is a sore spot in our Sun Ray 149 travel trailer. The circuit board failed when practically new and we replaced that. Then the operating mechanism broke into several pieces. There were no falling limbs, shooting stars or any other external impacts involved. I could not get it from Maxxair but etrailer shipped it to me quickly, while we were on the road, with no problems in transit. Installation went well. Then, during my third episode of dismantling this troublesome fan to get at a problem, I noticed oil had leaked from the control mechanism, onto the manual knob below. The replacement mechanism continues to work well, even while we are on the road 4 months each year. I am giving the deal 4 stars for the excellent relations I have had with etrailer.com, and omitting the fourth star because this fan and it's replacement parts seem to be much too flimsy.
Took forever to get the part it was the part I ordered and I was able to fix my MaxxAir Fan

Product arrived when promised and was an exact replacement for the broken MaxxAir part that failed on a MaxxFan RV control panel. The installation instruction picture showed the part flipped 180 degrees when installed. Would bot have been confusing except the instructions directed to turn the control mechanism clockwise to max open position. Installation was OK finally but should have called the help line to resolve the confusion. Our fan was a 10 year-old model.
My part arrived earlier than expected and is working like new.
Installing was easy and it’s working great! Etrailer is easy to work with and quick to ship parts.
Ordering was easy. Description and questions answered took care of my uncertainty as to whether this was the part I needed to order. Arrived on time with clear installation instructions! My MaxxFan is back in business!
The original crank up mechanism disintegrated in our max air fan need to replace. E trailer was the only one we found to have this part and we received within a couple of days. We did have to modify a little by using the handle shaft from the old one (that was longer to reach handle) instead of the shorter one with it. Thanks again for your help and fast delivery.
