Question:
I ORDERED THE MA10-20281K-1AFI AND EXPECT IT IN A FEW DAYS. PROBLEM IS I CANNOT OPEN THE COVER AT ALL AND AM AFRAID OF BREAKING SOMETHING. HOW DO I GET TO THE damage electric lift motor? I do not see this answer in your QandA. Jim. Thanks.

Hey Jim, the # MA10-20281K-1AF that you are planning on replacing is what would be preventing your lid from going up if its stuck. So since it's already broken you can go ahead and force the lid up as it's going to get replaced any way. Does the knob turn on the inside at all? You might try having someone crank the knob while you lift on the lid or push it through the bottom and that might allow it to come up a bit easier.

Hey Jim, did turning the knob or having someone help lift the lid make it easier to access the motor? I'm asking because your experience could help others facing a similar issue.
