Product was easy to assemble and took less than 20 minutes to put together. Package came in great shape and in a timely manner for the shipping price I paid. Super happy with the rack itself and the quality of craftsmanship it has. Definitely would recommend this rack for anyone else in the market, you won't be disappointed. Product does come with one phat bike adapter as well.

I think a longer strap instead an extender would have worked just as well and would be cheaper to produce.
Looks like a very easy to use and heavy duty rack. Will be using it on the back of our camper soon!
That's what I ordered
Put the Kuat NV 2.0 on our SUV and loaded a phat tire tire to go to the beach only to realize the strap that came on the NV 2.0 wasn’t long enough. We took the bike and the rack off. We immediately got one etrailer to order the right straps. Love etrailer... best customer service!! Can’t wait to install the new straps.

After a year, these are still great on the Kuat. I had actually forgotten these came with our rack when we purchased it new, but it’s great that we have a couple of spares. This means, we will have them forever. We do store our rack in an enclosed covered area when we don’t use it.

After a year of use and thousands of miles travelled, these straps have kept my bikes secured to the NV2 Rack. Your expensive rack is useless without these.
Just what you need for a fat tire bike and the new MTB wide tires. This is a very good quality adapter for your kuat rack.

It works out great. I have been using it on my specialized E bike which has really wide tires. It really makes it easy to attach my bike to the rack.
The Kuat single bike carrier and the adapter were not compatible with my Sondors XS Ebike. Regardless, Kuat's design was generally poor with ill-conceived components that must be assembled (an awkward process) and fasteners / tab-in-slot elements that were complicated as well as weak. My bike could be pushed more than 12 inches, forward or backward, using only the tip of my little finger. The bike carrier and the fat tire adapter (basically just a strap) should be redesigned and sold at 1/2 the price.
This bike rack has performed great. We are hauling 2 heavy fat tire e-bikes. Loading and unloading is a snap. I had to purchase a 2” drop extender to be able to lower my tailgate. Tilting the bike rack allows for easy access to my truck bed. Great product!
This adapter is just what I needed to secure my fat tire bike to a Kuat rack. Simple to attach to the strap that came on the rack, gives me plenty of length to wrap around the tires and secures and holds tightly. And, as always, excellent service from etrailer.com!

I did have an issue getting the brace over the fat tire but etrailer support were very helpful and explained the bike needs to be tilted over to get the brace up to the right place. I also bought my Kuat Base form etrailer and it's really really good, supper sturdy, no rattle and no more frame damage, well worth the money.
Works as expected. This is just a longer version of the straps that the bike rack came with and it enables my Kuat Transfer 2 bike rack to accommodate my 26x4" fat bike tires.
Quality and kept promises. Thanks etrailer!! Our Kuat 2 bike rack and extension straps for our fat tire bikes arrived on time and as promised. A boxed end wrench and hex head tools are included. Assembly went ok but could have been a little easier (for this SAE, not mm, guy) if the instructions had the actual screw sizes depicted in scale. Process of elimination and they all got used in the correct locations. And a second pair of hands was helpful in keeping the frame in place while I installed the front wheel ratchet arm assembly onto its pivot mount. All parts fit together correctly and tightly, indicating to me that the design and quality of the product wasn't shoddy or forgotten. The included 2" adapter on the hitch mount went into the receiver on my truck and with the included mounting screw and wrench, it tightened nicely. Only one person was needed to lift the complete rack and start and tighten the hitch pin in. The frames horseshoe design allows you room to walk the lifted bike onto the tire cradles without banging your shins. Without any effort you can then balance the bike while you swing the ratchet arm over and onto the front tire, wiggle the tires into their cradles, attach the safety straps, and your ready to go. It seemed very stable while traveling only 16 smooth road miles on its first journey. Comes off easily and hangs on the garage wall waiting for next weekend and a planned 185 mile one way road trip.

I have bought items from etrailer three times now. Their service is excellent, and the products arrive very quickly. This time I bought the Kuat Phat Strap. It slides over the strap that is already attached to the bike rack to extend the strap. It works well. My wife’s bike has five inch wide tires, and the strap is more than long enough to reach around it.
After a year of using these straps, product is still performing as they did when new. Straps hold the bikes tight, no issues with performance or quality and price was very affordable. If you have a fattie with small tire widths, the bike may fit without these straps, but having these gives peace of mind when traveling over long distances and/or uneven surfaces.
Excellent straps for my fat tire bikes. Gives plenty of room for all sizes of fat tires. Locks down nicely.
It does the job that I bought it for. It securely holds a fat tire mountain bike on to my new KUAT sherper rack.
The velcro strap for the front tire is strong and long enough to go around a 4.8 tires with plenty of space. But the other plastic strap extender doesnt look promising, it does what its suppose to do. Extend the strap to hold a fat tire. Küat should have just sent a longer version of the original strap for cleaner and less cumbersome task of adding and removing straps.
An absolute must if you are going to mount a fat tire bike on a Kuat NV2 rack. The straps on the rack do not reach and attach on a fat tire bike. The Velcro strap is a nice insurance piece for the front tire, but not necessary.
It came fast, however the shipping costs were higher than the purchase costs. I will therefore probably not purchase from this site again. The item was in good condition and easy to use.
From start to finish, this purchase from etrailer was a great experience. The salesman that helped me on the phone was really good at finding what I needed. I would definitely shop here again. Great job etrailer.
