How can I adapt my older Kuat NV 2 to work with fat tire bikes?

Question:

Greetings, I purchased a Kuat NV 2 from you back in April 2015. I know the NV 2.0 now accommodates wider tires is there a retro-fit/alternative that will convert the NV2 trays to hold the larger fat tire bikes?

I have good news! Kuat does have a solution to your problem. They created the Phat Bike Adapter Kit, part # APBK, which works with most of their older and newer platform bike racks and roof racks. I verified that this kit will work with your NV 2 which was purchased in 2015. (Model number N102.) The installation is simple, uses your rack's existing hardware, and holds tires from 2.5" to 4.8" wide.

Keep in mind that this kit will convert one wheel cradle set for use with fat bike tires. If you have 2 bikes with fat tires you will need to purchase 2 kits.
