Hey, everyone. It's Evngeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Kuat Fender Straps for your Piston Bike Racks. We have the Kuat Piston Pro here on our hitch receiver with a bike with fenders. I'll show you how to install this, so you have extra security. So, with this kit you do get two hook and loop straps, but this is a kit for a single bike. So, if you have two bicycles with fenders and you wanna carry them at the same time, you are gonna have to get this kit in a quantity of two.
When loading your bike for the front wheel mount, continue as usual. Set the height to the size of your front wheel, and get as close to the top of the wheel and the end of the fender as you can get. For the rear wheel mount, adjust the holder to the bottom rung, which is going to be your fender kit rung. And then, that goes up against your wheel. Setting that mount lower allows you to dodge the fender and get in contact with your bike's tire, but you do have slightly less stability than if you we're on top of the tire.
So, we're gonna make some connection points at the back, as well as the bottom of the wheel. With our hook and loop strap, we're going to go over the rung, around the wheel, and then come up diagonally underneath your mount. And then, just put your hook and loop strap through, and tighten it down. Same concept for the bottom part of your wheel. Strap goes around and into the buckle and is secured, applying downward pressure on your bike's tires.
And just like that, you're able to add some extra stability to your bike with fenders. It really is just pulling it back, as well as pulling it down, so you can feel safer driving around on the road. We are using this with a Piston Pro X. We can also use this with a Piston SR, the adapter version. Basically, your Kuat Piston series.

These fender straps secure your bike with fenders onto your Kuat Piston Pro X bike rack.The straps are not worth the high price. We had one come apart the first time we used it. The glue supporting the buckle came apart.
Total rip off 2 cheap velcro pieces. SHAME ON YOU ETRAILER
Work great. Just a bit more security with the e-bike fenders!
5 stars for the product being as expected. 1 star deduction because [online store] sells similar straps (1”x18” with plastic d-ring) in a 12-pack for only $x. etrailer is selling a Kuat-branded product though, so there’s that.
Nice quality, but a bit pricey for 2 Velcro straps...
Everything was delivered as advertised! I couldn’t be happier.
