Replaces the rear bike tray assembly for your black Yakima HoldUp bike rack (Y02443, Y02443-2, or Y02445). Installs on the bike rack spine, this assembly is farthest away from your vehicle. Gray HoldUp racks need 8890198 instead.

A lot of things can happen on the road, whether you just back into something or someone maybe just clips you in the parking garage. Well, if you have the Yakima holdup bike rack, we have a lot of different replacement parts, but today we're going to be taking a look at the rear wheel assembly. Whenever you first assembled this bike rack, you probably noticed that it's extremely easy to put together and replacing the parts are going to be just as easy. So let's go over that installation process with you now.All we need to do to remove the part is going to be four little bolts here, and you can either have it down, have it up. I'm just going to do it like this, just because I think it's going to be a little bit easier. Go ahead and grab your allen key and I suggest doing the top ones first.
Once we get these out, you can go ahead and do whatever you want with them, the replacement part does come with the hardware.Once it's done, all you got to do is pull it up and we're ready to replace it. Now we can go ahead and take our replacement part, it's nice and shiny. We can go ahead and remove our hardware. It's going to be the same exact hardware that we removed on our old piece. So use the same exact allen key to get them undone.
We want to make sure that we put this in the right direction, so all you have to do is really look at one of them and we're going to do the exact opposite of that.So we have our wheel cradle over here and we're going to go ahead and put this week cradle on the other side, face it like this, and then you go can ahead, hold it into place like before. I do suggest starting with the top ones. Just thread that in by hand real quick.And then we can go ahead and tighten them all down evenly, going back and forth between the two. And we are going to have these oblong holes here so we can go ahead and move it however we see fit. It all just depends on what you guys think is best for your bikes.
And once everything is nice and tight, always just double-check all of the bolts. Make sure that they didn't loosen up as you started tightening everything else down.Once that's good, then we are done. And that's going to do it for the replacement rear wheel assembly on the Yakima holdup bike rack..

I was surprised I could order a replacement bike holder for my Yakima rack. The price was fair and installation was easy.
I backed my bike rack into a wall on a Thursday. I ordered this part from etrailer on Monday. It arrived on Wednesday. Installed this part on Saturday! What could be easier than that!? I have ordered from etrailer before and it's like a no-brainer. The items are just as described, fair price, come quickly. I'll continue to use etrailer in the future. As for the Yakima part, this is the best bike rack I've ever used and not the first one I've tried to destroy! I highly recommend the HoldUp carrier and this part just bolted right on.

The replacement parts for the rack worked perfectly and I have spent the last year trying my best to wear them out!

Perfect replacement part for my Yakima bike rack. I was horrified when I damaged my Yakima bike rack that was on my car while taking my wife’s car out of the garage. I know what a goof. Luckily etrailer.com had the entire rear assembly, four bolts and it’s good as new. I use this rack 3 or 4 times a week so I had to have it right. One arm of my Yakima Hitch mount rack was damaged when a truck backed in the rear of my vehicle. I ordered the replacement arm which etrailer was the only only retailer to have in stock. Shipping was quick and I was back with bikes on the rack in a mattter of days. etrailer is my goto when ordering receivers and hitch mount accessories for our two vehicles.
You're already here because you know etrailer is great. Just like every other purchase, this one was smooth. The price was fair (can't find it cheaper anywhere) and shipping (free) was fast.
If only the Yakima arms could be repaired instead of replaced since it's just a single bolt inside the ratchet that fails. That said, it did last ten years. I had fabricated a temporary fix, but decided to treat myself to an early holiday gift with this replacement.
Don't forget that you can use your old lock by using the blank key to remove it from the old rack. Super easy and allows you to retain the single key use.

The bike rack replacement tray is the exact same fit and finish as the original one that I ripped off going out my garage. Easy to install and adjust. Videos on site show install instructions. It supposedly comes with a key and the remover key, but mine did not. Luckily I had a remover key already and I replaced the lock core with the one that was in my original part. Not a big deal because I was able to get the core out.
I had a bike tray that was rusted from exhaust moisture, and needed to be replaced. eTrailer made it super easy to identify the correct replacement part, had good pricing, and, of course, excellent information and customer service. The replacement tray was super easy to install, and I was able to order new lock cores to match my existing locks.
This was a replacement part for the HoldUp 2. It works very well with all sorts of different style of bikes. Etrailer did and excellent job of shipping the part fast and they were fantastic with their communication from order status through shipping.
The Yakama Bike Rack has worked well without any difficulties. So much easier to use than my other racks I had invest in.
