  • Visibility of the Curt Class I Hitch on a 2009 Volvo S40
We have not had a chance to install this hitch on a vehicle like your 2009 Volvo S40, but I spoke with my contact at Curt and he said the majority of this trailer hitch will not be visible. The top of the receiver will sit flush with the bottom of your bumper fascia. He did mention that you may be able to see the bottom part of the mounting arms that extend just past the crossbar on both sides. I have attached installation instructions for you to check out. If you plan on doing any light...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver for 2015 Lexus IS 250 for a Bike Rack and Light Trailer
I recommend the Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver, part # 24923, for your 2015 Lexus IS 250. It's confirmed to fit both the sedan or convertible models. The hitch is a Class I, 1-1/4 inch receiver so you need to make sure the bike rack you use fits the Class I. The bike rack I recommend is the very popular Thule T2 Pro XTR, part # TH23JV. The T2 is a platfrom rack that carries up to 2 bikes at 50 pounds each. it can be folded up out of the way when you're not using it as well as tilted...

  • Trailer Hitch, Wiring and Ball Mount for 2017 Ford Mustang
There is a potential way for you to haul an electric wheelchair with a 2017 Ford Mustang, although there is not an adapter that is going to work. The reason for that is there is just one 1-1/4 inch to 2 inch adapter with rise that works with a Class I hitch, and that adapter, the Brophy # HT5R, has a 5 inch rise, which doesn't meet your needs. Additionally, the use of any adapter will reduce the weight capacity of your hitch by 50 percent, and since there are only Class I hitches with a...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2010 Ford Fusion Sport with Dual Exhaust
Yes, the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 24865, will fit on all models of the 2010 Ford Fusion including the sport with dual exhaust. This hitch installs exactly the same as Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch, 60282, which has been discontinued, and we have pictures and a video of it installed on a 2010 Fusion with dual exhaust. I have provided a link to the video for reference. The recommended ball mount but for the Draw-Tite Hitch is # 3594. For a ball you can use # 19256 (1-7/8 inch diameter)...

  • Can Draw-Tite Sportframe Hitch Support 350 lb Husqvarna 701 Supermoto On 2018 Camaro SS
Hi Zachary; the Draw-Tite Sportframe # 24938 has a max tongue weight of 200 lbs. Since your Husqvarna 701 Supermoto already exceeds that capacity you will not be able to use a carrier to transport the bike with this hitch. There are no hitches available that can handle this and, even if they could, I doubt your Camaro is rated to hold that much tongue weight. You can attempt to somehow reinforce the frame and hitch but I can't recommend doing so and think it is a bad idea. Also, it isn't...

I attached installation instructions as well as a link to a video of this hitch being installed on a similar vehicle as yours below. If your Cobalt is an SS then you could use a Draw-Tite Hitch, part # 24756, like you referenced. • Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2012 Chrysler 200
Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24871 for the 2012 Chrysler 200 is rated for 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 200 pounds tongue weight. Provided that the trailer is within that capacity as well as the capacity of the vehicle then it will be able to tow it. The recommended ball mount for this hitch is # 3594. For a compatible 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 or for a 2 inch use # 19258. And for a trailer wiring harness you can use # C56211 to add a 4-Way flat connector to the rear of the vehicle.

  • Will Thule EasyFold XT Fit A Class 1 Trailer Hitch with 1-1/4 Distance from Hitch Pin Hole
The Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 1-1/4 inch and 2 inch Hitches - Frame Mount # TH903202 will work with your class 1 hitch if the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the face of the hitch is 1-1/2 inches or greater. If yours is 1-1/4 inches it will make it unstable and could fall off when in use. Depending on what vehicle you have I would recommend going up to a bigger hitch like a class 2 or a class 3 hitch. If you can't do that I would recommend The...

  • Trailer Hitch Fit For 2015 Ford Fiesta ST Hatchback
The 2015 Ford Fiesta ST is the hatchback model, and we have a trailer hitch is confirmed to fit. You would need the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11067. The accompanying photo is of a hitch on a Fiesta; I have also added a link to an install video so you can see exactly what you'll need to do. The only trimming you'll need to do is a 2" section of the heat shield which means there is no fascia trimming needed at all. Since you mentioned you will be towing there is a specific ball mount...

  • Best Hitch Available For A 2021 Mazda 3 Hatchback To Tow A Small Trailer
As your 2021 Mazda 3 is the hatchback version, you will need the Curt # C98BR. The other hitch that comes up ( # 24982) will be specific to the sedan model, so it will not fit your vehicle. With that said, this will be rated up to 2,000 pounds towing and 200 pounds of tongue weight, so it will definitely handle the trailer you are looking to tow. The Tekonsha # 118808 wiring harness would have been the one I was going to recommend so you are good to go there. Though one wire will need...

  • Can Malone LowBed MicroSport Trailer be Towed with Vehicle that has 1-1/4 inch Hitch
Hey Kelly, there's actually an easier way to tow the Malone LowBed MicroSport Trailer part # MPG464-LB with the current hitch you have installed as this does not require the trailer hitch to be a 2 inch trailer hitch and instead just requires a 2 inch hitch ball. You would just need a ball mount for your current hitch like the part # 3594 and a 2 inch hitch ball like the # 19258.

If you will be doing light towing with this hitch receiver, I recommend the ball mount # 3594 and hitch ball # 19256 or # 19258 for a 2-inch diameter ball. Ball mount rise, or drop, is determined by inserting the ball mount into the hitch on your vehicle and measuring from the top of the hitch opening to the top of the ball mount platform. I added a photo showing how the rise and length would be measured on the Draw-Tite Ball Mount # 3594. Class I trailer hitch receivers like # 24847 have a distance of about 1-5/8 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the welded stop in the back of the hitch receiver tube. Class I ball mounts like # 3594 normally are about 1-9/16 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back to allow fit. For your 2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring Hatchback we have the Draw Tite hitch part # 24844 which is a confirmed fit. I like this option the best as the hitch tube will be concealed unlike the Curt equivalent. Also if you were to ever carry a bike rack you wouldn't need a stabilizer strap like you would with the Curt. You'll need the ball mount part # 3594, hitch ball # 19256, and trailer wiring # 118473 and you'd be set.

  • Does Suspension Sag Factor When Picking Out Correct Rise/Drop Ball Mount
Sounds like you are asking about how to pick out a ball mount that allows the trailer to sit as level as possible. Ideally you go with the rise/drop that allows the trailer to sit totally level with it loaded. Since significant sag isn't always present it may not have been addressed directly enough in our help article on the subject. But when I recommend a ball mount for someone I typically will recommend going with the drop that's a little higher than measured for this reason. But suspension...
