This is very sturdy hitch. It is made of solid steel, not tubing. It will be used on my Mazda RX-3 to tow my car dolly to the RV lot where I will swap everything around and the car will end up on the dolly behind my RV.

I absolutely love it. It fits on my car no problem. I love that etrailer knows what fits and what won't. I'll definitely be back!

I wanted to attach a small luggage carrier behind my odyssey. I had to grill another mounting hole to alter the angle so it would not drag. Excellent product. Was able to customize it easily. Thank you.

by:

Works great. I added a hitch tightener / stabilizer ($XX on online) to get rid of any rattling.

Due to being upside down under the Saturn, and working on it late at night to get my order in, I ordered the wrong drawbar, again Tammie saved the day, she called me, informed me that the hitch I ordered would not fit, and that she held the order until she got a hold of me, etrailer is a great company

  • Lock Pin Hole Measurement for Class I Hitch
The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of the drawbar is 1-9/16 inches. This is a Class I drawbar. Class II drawbars will not fit in the Class I hitch and have a distance of approximately 2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of the drawbar.

  • Compatability of Bike Rack Part # 63120 and Draw-Tite Class 1 Hitch part # 24807
The hitch you have, Draw-Tite part # 24807 is a Class 1 hitch. There are two different classes of 1-1/4 inch hitches, Class 1 and 2. Class 2 drawbars and bike racks will not fit Class 1 hitches. Class 1 hitches have a lower rating than Class 2 and to prevent people from accidentally exceeding capacities the manufacturers make it so that heavier Class 2 accessories are too long to be used in Class 1 hitches. But you can still use Class 1 accessories in Class 2 hitches. The bike rack you...

  • How to Pick Out Correct Ball Mount for 2015 Ford F-150
I attached an FAQ that details how to pick out the correct ball mount. Picking out the correct ball mount will allow your trailer to sit as level as possible. Basically you will first measure the height from the ground to the top of the receiver opening on the hitch while on level ground. Next, you will measure the coupler height from the ground to the bottom of the trailer coupler when the trailer is on level ground. Next, you will need to compute the difference. If the hitch height is...

  • Does Suspension Sag Factor When Picking Out Correct Rise/Drop Ball Mount
Sounds like you are asking about how to pick out a ball mount that allows the trailer to sit as level as possible. Ideally you go with the rise/drop that allows the trailer to sit totally level with it loaded. Since significant sag isn't always present it may not have been addressed directly enough in our help article on the subject. But when I recommend a ball mount for someone I typically will recommend going with the drop that's a little higher than measured for this reason. But suspension...

  • How to Measure to Determine How Much Drop Is Needed for a Ball Mount
Thanks for the measurements you gave. To determine drop needed you need to measure from the top of the hitch opening to the ground and from the bottom of the coupler lip to the ground. Those two numbers compared is the amount of drop you'd need. I attached a help article that covers this as well. Let me know what you come up with and I can get you the best solution. Also, what size ball do you need?

  • Will Sportframe Drawbar # 3594 Fit Kubata RTV Receiver
I pulled a Sportframe Drawbar, part # 3594, from our warehouse and took a measurement for you. As the attached photo shows the distance from the end of the shank that inserts in the receiver on your Kubata RTV to the center of the hitch pin hole is 1-1/2 inches. This drawbar is designed to fit 1-1/4 inch receivers. You mentioned that you have 2 inches before it hits the axle. • Why do Some Ball Mounts Have a Drop and Rise and Others Only have a Rise
Some ball mounts, generally Class I and Class II ball mounts, are designed by the manufacturer for use in the rise position only. These ball mount designs are intended for use with vehicles that require a rise only and would be too low to the ground to ever need a lower ball mount. Ball mounts listed with a rise only should not be used in the lowered position because the manufacturer has not tested them for use in that position. The ball mount that you referenced, part # 3594 has too much of a rise and is not recommended by Draw-Tite to be used on the Chevrolet Lumina. With Class I and II hitches, the ball mount recommended by the hitch manufacturer must be used, not doing so will void the hitch warranty. I have linked an FAQ on hitch ball mounts.

  • Why Are Hitch Adapters for 1-1/4 inch Hitch Not to Be Towed With
Hitch adapters create quite a bit of leverage and movement in the hitches they are installed in. Since 1-1/4 inch hitches are very low in capacity already it's not a good idea to use an adapter like the part # HTAD to tow with. You'd just need to get a 1-1/4 inch ball mount to fit the hitch and there'd be no need for an adapter like the # 3594.

The recommended drawbar for a 2006 Honda Civic with Class I hitch is part # 3593. The hitch manufacturers recommend draw bars based on the weight capacity of the hitch and vehicle and the trailer coupler height of trailers that fall in that weight capacity. Part # 3593 is the proper amount of rise for most trailers that fall under 2,000 pounds.
