  • Enclosed Cargo Carrier Recommendation for Mercedes Benz Sprinter RV
  • Not all enclosed cargo carriers are approved for use at the rear of an RV like the part # M2205-01-02 that you referenced but I do have a great solution for you that is. You'd want the GearDeck 17 Enclosed Cargo Carrier part # H00604 which is RV approved and will work well. This can carry up to 17 cubic feet of storage space and has a 300 lb capacity. I attached a picture of what the carrier looks like installed on an RV as well as an install video for more info as well.

  • Availability of Enclosed Cargo that Slides Away from Vehicle to Allow Cargo Area Access
  • Sounds like you are looking for the GearSpace 34 Enclosed Cargo Carrier # HGK819. This carrier can slide out away from the vehicle it is installed in to give additional clearance. Check out the picture I attached to see more info on this. Or for a carrier that swings to the side for more clearance we have the Rola part # 59109 which I attached a picture of installed on a Jeep like yours.

  • Recommended Hitch Pin for the Carpod Walled, Folding Cargo Carrier # M2205-01-02
  • The Carpod Walled and Folding Cargo Carrier does not come with a hitch pin clip. The basic hitch pin clips that you will need is part # PC3. For added security and to help deter theft you can use the Let's Go Areo Anti-Rattle Hitch Receiver Lock # 63232. If you were wanting to add some security to your cargo carrier, I recommend using the Master Lock Padlock # ML312D for when the top is closed.

  • Can Bike Rack be Inserted Into Tube Receiver on Carpod Cargo Carrier # M2205-01-02
  • While the tube opening at the front of the Carpod Walled Folding Cargo Carrier # M2205-01-02 does closely resemble a hitch receiver, it cannot be used to mount an additional accessory like a bike rack. For a bike rack and cargo carrier that CAN be used together, I recommend taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 # HR1450Z-85. This unique setup includes both a 2-bike platform rack and a 52-1/2 inch x 15-9/16 inch cargo basket that can attach to it. Either option can also...

  • Can the Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier # M2205 be Used on a Class A Motorhome
  • Cargo carriers don't really have a rating system like bike racks do when it comes to usage on a motorhome or travel trailer. Typically we recommend using a fixed carrier like part # M2200 since it doesn't have extra moving parts and will stay more still that a folding carrier like part # M2205 that you recommended will. With that being said, since you are using a motorhome and they sometimes do need to use accessories that have a rise in the shank you should be good to use the Carpod...

  • Will the Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier Work with a 2018 Honda CR-V
  • The Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier part # M2205 will be a perfect match for the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13397 on your 2018 Honda CR-V. It has an extended shank with a rise so you don't have to worry about the carrier coming into contact with the back of the vehicle or the ground. It also folds up against the vehicle while not in use. In order to prevent any rattling inside the receiver, I recommend using the Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock part # 63232 which is also locking....

  • Difference Between Carpod M2200 And M2205 Hitch Mounted Cargo Carriers
  • We do carry the 23x47 Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier, part # M2205, and it has some great features. This cargo carrier has walls that fold flat and the entire carrier will fold up when not being used. The outside dimensions are 48-3/4 inches long x 24 inches wide x 22 inches tall, and it fits in a 2 inch receiver opening. This carrier weighs 54 lbs and it also features a shank with a 5 inch rise to provide a bit more ground clearance. The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the...

  • Which Hitch Pin Hole Does J-Pin Style Anti Rattle Device Insert Through for Hitch
  • With J-pin style hitch stabilizers like the part # 63201 they are designed to go through the hitch and shank with the larger hole and then the j portion comes around and locks into the smaller hole. It almost sounds like you are trying fit the pin lock through the smaller hole instead which wouldn't be possible. See picture I attached plus review video.

  • Will Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier Fit 2011 Buick Enclave
  • I have a solution for you, but the Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier # M2200-01-02 does not extend far enough out from the trailer hitch to fit well on your 2011 Buick Enclave. The trailer hitches we've installed on the Enclave required 5 inches of distance between the center of the hitch pin hole and the closest part of the carrier in order to clear the bumper. The # M2200-01-02 offers only 4 inches, meaning it would not work on your vehicle. Instead, the Carpod Walled, Folding Cargo Carrier...

  • Will the Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier # M2205 Fit on a 2011 Ford Edge
  • The Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier, # M2205, that you referenced will work with your 2011 Ford Edge and will not require the use of a hitch extension or adapter. I have attached a demonstration video of this carrier on a 2013 Ford Edge for you to check out. The Edge in the video is the non Sport model and has the Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch, # 75992, installed. Keep in mind, the hitch pin and clip are sold separately from the Carpod carriers. • Weather Proof Cargo Bag Recommendation for 23x47 Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier M2205-2201
  • The recommended cargo bag for the Carpod Carrier part # M2205-2201 that you referenced is the Carpod Bag part # M2202. This bag is specifically designed to fit the inner dimensions of the # M2205-2201 so it would be the best choice. This bag is weather resistant so it would do an excellent job in the snow and ice you will be traveling in. For added security from the weather you can also put your cargo in a plastic bag before installing in the cargo bag. But realistically your cargo...

  • Adding a License Plate Bracket to Carpod Hitch Mount Cargo Carrier
  • Unfortunately, we do not have a license plate bracket specifically designed to be used with the Carpod Carrier # M2205-01-02 but we have a number of trailer license plate brackets that could possibly be used. I've linked our selection for you. One example that is quite versatile is # CR79150 which has a number of openings that could be used to mount it to the carrier. Using zip ties or something similar would probably work just fine.

  • Fit of Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier # M2205-01-02 on 2006 Chevy Suburban
  • To determine if the Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier, part # M2205-01-02 will fit your Suburban, you will need to take a quick measurement. Measure the distance from the hitch pin hole to the furthest rearward point of the back bumper. If this distance is less than about 2 inches, then the carrier will fit. If not, you will not be able to slide the shank into the receiver far enough for the hitch pin holes to align. Carpod offers # M2200-2201 that offers a bit more clearance, if your distance...

  • For the 24x48-3/4 Carpod Walled, Folding Cargo Carrier # M2205-01-02 there is not a specific light kit available, but one can easily be added for safety. I recommend either kit # 52014 for round LED lights or the incandescent square light kit # 6504. These can easily be adapted for mounting on your Carpod. • Shank with a Rise for Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier

We've never tested it on the Carpod carriers but I've attached a picture that you can use to determine if it'll work for you.

  • Recommendation on a Carpod Walled Carrier to be Used With a 2008 Buick Enclave
  • For your 2008 Buick Enclave, I like the Carpod Walled Carriers that include the polyester weather-resistant storage bag like # M2205-01-02 and # M2200-01-02. The storage bag will give the ability to store your items in privacy while keeping them out of the weather elements. Of these two Carpod carriers, I recommend # M2200-01-02, because of the added security of a lockable lid. This added feature will enhance the security of your cargo as you travel. These two carries have a 450 lbs...

  • Difference Between the Carpod part numbers M2205-01-02 and M2200-01-02
  • The difference between the two Carpods that you referenced is that the part # M2205-01-02 can fold up and the # M2200-01-02 does not fold. The only color that the # M2202 comes in is black. You should note that this bag is included with both carriers mentioned. The bag would take the shape of the cargo installed in it for the most part. If you filled out the bag it would not sag at all.

  • Can I Open my Hatch Area on my 2015 Toyota 4Runner When the Carpod M2205 is in the Folded Position
  • When the Carpod hitch cargo carrier # M2205 is in the folded position, the measurement from the top of the receiver hitch to the top of the Carpod is 3-1/4 inches tall. It's 5-1/4 inches tall overall measuring from the bottom of the receiver hitch to the top of the Carpod. You will have some rattle noise but I don't think it's going to be extremely loud at all. Going over bumps, potholes etc. will cause some rattle but it's certainly very secure. There is an option to get the Carpod...

  • Is the bag in the Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier, # M2200-01-02 Water Proof
  • The bag that is inside the Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier, # M2200-01-02, is weather-resistant but is not considered water proof. For something to be considered water proof it has to be submerged under water for a certain period of time and the inside and contents must stay dry. For general rainy conditions the bag will do well to help keep items inside dry but we still recommend placing items that cannot get wet in plastic bags.

  • Cargo Carrier with Spare Tire Clearance for 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
  • As a first step, you will need to determine what kind of clearance you will need. Measure from the hitch pin hole rearward until you clear the furthest rearward portion of the spare tire. The cargo carrier you choose will need to have a shank that is longer than that dimension. The FAQ article I've linked for you shows how to take that measurement. If your Wrangler has the stock tire size, this distance will be around 6 inches, but if you have larger tires, this distance could be greater....
