Arrived in good condition. It was easy to assemble. Bigger than I expected.

by:

Excellent

by:

Great package, highly recommend!!

by:

Just what I needed fast shipping I highly recommend

by:

Love it! Easy to set up and was using it within 30 mins!

by:

So far the carrier looks and functions great. Can't wait to take it on our winter trip to Texas. Should work out well.

by:

I have traveled with the product twice across the country. It worked great.

by:

We love it. Everything works great and as advertised. Thanks for a great product.

by:

The top cage came packaged separately which isn’t a huge feel but it was a bit bent and banged up making it a little difficult to attach. I would have asked for a replacement but we were heading out on a trip and couldn’t wait.

by:

We used it on two trips since purchasing it. On both trips is worked flawlessly. This was the best investment we have made for this type item. We looked at numerous units before choosing this one, but none came close to providing what this unit does (for the price).

Thanks for making our vacations less stressful.

POD is exactly as ordered and is perfect for its intended use.

by:

Excellent service and fast delivery! Also, everything is in perfect condition which is always great when ordering on line!

by:

Great product for the price, lets us have more space in the RV. Product works as intended.

by:

Excellent product and easy to install. Very solid and holds a ton. Also bought the locking lid and cargo bag.

by:

Best cargo basket ever! The liner bag does not leak!
Have used several times. It’s easy for this “older” lady to get it on and off.

by:

Yes, I like the carrier. I would buy it again. the only little problem I had was around the corners it had some water seepage. I sprayed it good with some waterproof sealer it worked good after that.

by:

The carrier is excellent. It is somewhat more lite-weight than I anticipated, but it has not sagged or become deformed in any fashion, so it obviously does what it was designed for. Regarding the bag; I have never been able to adequately waterproof it regardless of how much Scotch Guard I apply. With that said, I would still purchase it again because it is durable and does keep dust and dirt away from the items stored.

by:

I liked the fact that I felt the items would be secure while I was traveling in my class B RV. But the cost was exorbitant in my opinion. A fellow traveler had created basically the same principle by using a large dog kennel on top of a regular trailer platform for less than $200. So the three stars is basically due to the cost issue. It was well-made and the staff were very kind and nice to deal with.

by:

The Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier arrived quickly and functioned as advertised. Just what I needed for a week-long cross-country roadtrip. However, after driving through rain on a few different days, the carrier began to rust and is now rusted in multiple locations around the carrier.

by:

Honestly it's a nice idea but the cage wire is so thin I could cut it with a pair of wire cutters and I strongly recommend welding the box to the hitch extension after assembly so it doesn't get stolen. Great customer support and shipped on time.

by:

Wow is all I have to say! Called customer service and was answered immediately which with other companies has not been the case, the representative I talked to was extremely kind and helpful which again has not been the case with me and other companies. Having fixed one minor mistake I made, e trailer made my experience seamless and easy and I now have peace in my car with a place to put all my miscellaneous items!! Again fantastic customer service I would order from them every time I need something for my car, thank you etrailer!!

  • Cargo Carrier with Spare Tire Clearance for 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
As a first step, you will need to determine what kind of clearance you will need. Measure from the hitch pin hole rearward until you clear the furthest rearward portion of the spare tire. The cargo carrier you choose will need to have a shank that is longer than that dimension. The FAQ article I've linked for you shows how to take that measurement. If your Wrangler has the stock tire size, this distance will be around 6 inches, but if you have larger tires, this distance could be greater....

  • Can the Yakima EXO Swing Away Carrier Be Used On A 2017 Ford F-350 With an In-Bed Camper?
The Yakima EXO Swing Away Storage System w/ Enclosed Cargo Carrier and Cargo Carrier # Y44ZR is not actually meant to be used with any type of hitch extender or adapter so with your truck having a hitch extender, it's not going to be recommended that you use this as is. That said, seeing as though you're still going to need to use some type of an extension, the Yakima StraightShot Hitch Extension # Y69VR has been approved and will work great with the EXO Swing Away # Y44ZR. If that is...

  • Enclosed Hitch Cargo Carrier Recommendation for Clearing Rear Spare of Jeep Wrangler
It looks like you are looking for an enclosed cargo carrier to fit your Jeep Wrangler with a rear mounted spare. It's hard to see where you took the measurement from in the picture you attached, but if the distance from your hitch pin hole to the furthest point out on your spare is less than 14 inches the GearDeck 17 Enclosed Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Slide Out - 17 cu ft - Black # H00604 that you referenced would work well for you.

  • Can Rear Hatch on a 2010 Honda Pilot be Opened with a Carpod Trailer Hitch Mount Carrier Installed
On the 24x48-3/4 Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier, # M2200, the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the nearest part of the carrier is 4 inches. On the 2010 Honda Pilot, it will clear the rear bumper but you will not be able to raise the rear hatch with the carrier in place. What I recommend is an enclosed carrier that swings out to the side so that you have complete access to the rear of the vehicle and can open the rear hatch. Take a look at the Yakima EXO Swing Away Enclosed...

  • Fit of Carpod Hitch Cargo Carrier #M2200 on a 2012 Toyota Highlander
To determine if the Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier will fit on your 2012 Highlander, you will need to take a measurement off of your hitch. Measure the distance rearward from the hitch pin hole until the furthest rearward portion of the bumper is cleared. If this measurement is less than the 4 inch hitch pin hole to basket measurement of the Carpod Carrier, it will fit. This being said, I would not recommend using it unless your measurement was 3 inches or less, to allow an inch space between...

In order to determine if the Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier, # M2200, or any trailer hitch mounted accessory will fit your 2011 Honda Pilot Touring Edition, you will need to measure the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole out to the distance required to clear the rear bumper. Since the Carpod is 48 inches wide, you will measure out 24 inches in either direction from the center of the hitch. Then measure up 22 inches. The exhaust melting cargo on a cargo carrier like the Carpod part # M2200 is not as common as you may think unless the cargo carrier is the exact same height at the exhaust or relatively close to it. We typically recommend at least 12 inches between the exhaust tip and the carrier to prevent melting. If you are experiencing excessive heat from the exhaust the best way to fix this is point the exhaust down with an exhaust tip. I recommend to use an exhaust tip that points away from the...
