RV Steps for Motorhome with 23-3/4 Inch Wide
Sized to fit motorhome entryways, these 23-3/4 inch wide RV steps make getting in and out feel natural. Match the step width and your coach's mounting pattern for an easy swap, and double-check door-sensor and wiring style for smooth operation.
Match the step width on your Motorhome and confirm the mounting hole pattern lines up. Check the folded depth under the coach to be sure there's room when stowed. Verify the wiring connector style matches your coach harness, and note whether your system uses a door magnet switch or rocker switch so you can reuse or replace as needed.
Installation can be straightforward on a Motorhome. Multiple mounting holes can make alignment easier, and a second set of hands or a jack helps support the weight. Removal can take longer if your coach used carriage bolts that spin; plan tools or access to hold the bolts while removing nuts.
You can often reuse your existing door magnet switch or micro-switch on a Motorhome. If the dash "step extended" light doesn't function, verify the micro-switch on the step motor and follow your coach wiring diagram. If a sensor is missing, add a compatible door magnet switch to restore proper operation.
They often plug in and work with existing wiring on a Motorhome. If operation seems backwards, swap the red and yellow wires to correct polarity. Some setups need a magnetic door switch or rocker switch not included with all replacements, and you may need a few wire connectors or an inline fuse holder to finish the job.
