Replacement Kwikee Series 26 Single Step Recommendation

Question:

I have a kwickee RV step gear that needs to be replaced. Number on back of step is 39073 Series 26. Can you help?

Hey Kathryn, thanks for reaching out!

Lippert used to have the Motor Upgrade Kit LC379801 for your steps but they discontinued it a few years ago so the only way to get your step back up and running is with a completely new step.

The part you're looking for is the Replacement Step, Motor, and Switch for Kwikee RV Electric Steps - 26 Series # LC3711361.

I'm attaching a dimensional photo for you to reference and make sure that this matches the specs on your current steps.

Thanks Jon, but I just need the gear assembly, all other parts are fine. Can I purchase just the gear assembly? Please?

@Kathryn I reached out to Lippert to see if the gear assembly itself was available (I found an old part number for it that is no longer active from them) and they unfortunately said no. It looks like there are some upgraded module kits that might work but they are priced out the same as a whole new step. So I recommended going with a whole step that way you know all of the parts are the same age and should work for a long time.
