Video Transcript for Comprehensive Review: Wire Loom, 1/2" Diameter (per Foot)

Today, we're going to review part number 459075-1. This is the plastic wire loom, 1/2" in diameter. This part number is sold by foot. This part number is for 1 foot. Basically, how many feet you would need is you would just order this part number times how many feet you would need. I'll show you basically, there is about the 1 foot that you would get, and as you can see, it is 1/2" diameter.

It does have the opening on one side to where you can put your wires in. Basically, this would be used if you are going to do any wiring on your trailer or vehicle. Once you get your wires all run, you can put all the wires together in this loom to keep them in one spot. We also sell a related product if you need more than just the couple feet. Basically, we sell part number 459075, and basically, it's a box of 100 feet of this wire loom if needed. That should do it for the review on part number 459075-1. This is the plastic wire loom, 1/2" in diameter, per foot.

Harness is made well. Installation was vey easy.

by:

Product, customer service and delivery time were all exceptional in every way! The towbar and all accessories I ordered were a perfect fit without any modifications and the pictures and videos on your website were extremely helpful!

by:

This unit does not wrap around the tubing for the 3/8" pipe completely however it handles about 80% coverage and protects the tubing against the metal edges.

by:

perfect fit over 4 wire harness.

by:

Got surprise expedited shipping, got my packages quick and was able to work on my trailer before work. These are quality materials, not like the kind you get from your local stores.

by:

Made it a very clean installation

by:

Order came ahead of scheduled date, items are perfect. Can't wait for better weather to get trailer rewired. Gwendolyn was very helpful with the ordering process

by:

Everything I ordered has worked flawles sly.

by:

This inexpensive plastic "loom" is great for protecting hitch wiring. I used black electrical tape with a few wraps at the ends so that it won't "move".. and it installed on all the hitch wiring in just a couple of minutes. Thanks for a good product and prompt courteous service. :-)

Excellent product options with decent prices. Fast and dependable delivery. Would definitely buy from E-Trailer again when the need arises.

by:

Item is as described, great instructions, fast shipping, would buy again!

by:

Again, another out of the park home run from etrailer. They ship fast, stock lots of items and will help you along the way. I bought a length of that crinkly plastic wiring cover and it worked magnificently on the deal. No weather is going to creep around and rot out the wiring and leave me stranded on the side of the road with no directional or brake lights, with no option left but to sleep in the parking lot of a Burger King while cursing the inferior online competitor that sells sub par crinklies. So put me in coach, I’m ready to safely drive with a well-lit trailer!

by:

I installed the hitch, wiring, and brake controller myself on a Subaru Outback a year ago, and the only problem has been that plug cover has broken off. The hinge piece was made of plastic and got brittle in the cold. Otherwise, the set up have worked fine. The installation instructions were great, but the tight spaces made doing it myself a little tedious - routing the brake controller cable was the biggest challenge and would have been easier if the car had been on a lift.

by:

I purchased the both the hitch and proper wiring harness for my 2014 Kia Sorento from etrailer.com

They arrived quickly and in excellent condition.

The hitch install was fairly easy and the fit was excellent.

This is the second product I have purchased from etrailer.com and both were excellent experiences.

by:

I decided to completely rewire my 16' flat trailer due to broken wires and inoperative connectors. This product did the trick to replace a worn out wire cover. Easy to use. Just cut what you need and zip tie and electrical tape if needed. The videos and explanations by etrailer are really helpful.

by:

I received my wiring harness and other components on the day in which they were promised for delivery. I had already viewed one of your posted videos on how to re-wire a utility trailer so I promptly installed the wiring harness and connected it to the lights which I had already mounted. Everything worked great! This was the first time I had re-wired a trailer and was initially apprehensive about doing the job myself. Your video made the difference! I have marked your website URL for future reference. You will be my "go to" site for trailer accessories and information.

by:

I ordered the receiver and the harness for the trailer brake lights. Both were plug and play very easy to install.

by:

Worked great to hide, protect and contain loose wires I had with my trailer brake controller installation

by:

I bought this wire loom to add an extra layer of protection around my 6 wire cable that runs the length of the underside on my utility trailer. It fit the cable just fine, but left very little room for any additional wire. This should add a bit of assurance to a replacement cable that was needed due to some road rash and a few shorts.

by:

I am glad I came upon this site. The staff is friendly courteous and helpful.

Since I live in Canada it is a big problem if I had to send items back across the border to etrailer if the items were not what I thought they were. The short videos that etrailer provides with each product is extremely helpful in determining to purchase or not. Thank you for that feature. Knowing a little about video production and the costs associated with that, it must cost etrailer a pile to give us (the consumers) what appears to be a simple addition on their site

Thanks again guys/gals

by:

Purchased trailer hitch and wiring for 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Received them immediately. Great video installation instructions on the website enabled me to install both very quickly without the need for cussing. Very satisfied.

by:

Part was shipped timely and was exactly what I ordered. Installed last weekend and trailer lights are working great.

The installation videos were very helpful. Thanks for the great service.

by:

I HAVE PURCHASED SEVERAL ITEMS FROM E TRAILER . FROM TRAILER PARTS TO REBUILD A CONSTRUCTION TRAILER TO PARTS FROM MY FIFTH WHEEL CAMPER . THE QUALITY OF THEIR PARTS HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE BEST .

by:

All items in the order for trailer wiring components were exactly what I ordered and all items were delivered promptly. Good communication from Etrailer with reasonable prices, and FREE SHIPPING!! Nice.

by:

Excellent product, fast delivery, exactly as ordered, well packaged and instruction video easy to follow. Thx a lot ETrailer! I saved 300$ by doing my hitch installation myself.

For your 2015 Jeep Wrangler to use the Tow Defender # RM-4750, you will need the Roadmaster EZ4 Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-521448-4. This combination will work well with the Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain Tow Bar w/ LED Lights # RM-676. Then you will need a wiring kit for your Jeep. • Are There Any Trailer 7-Way Cables With 6 or 8 Gauge Wire Available
The trailer 7-way cables that we currently offer are going to max out at 10awg so you would need to get just the connector, like part # A7WCB, and wire it yourself with 8awg or 6awg. To protect the wires you can use some 1/2" wire loom # 459075-1 and wrap it all with electrical tape.

  • Compatibility Of 1/2 Inch Loom Clamps With 3/8 Inch Loom
Yes, you can use Metal Loom Clamp - 1/2" # A0500 with Wire Loom 3/8" Diameter # 39035. It will secure the loom to your frame but it will not clamp tightly around it. If you want a tight fit at the clamps you can use 3/4" x 60' Electrical Tape to close the loom at that location and make it your desired thickness for clamping. If you want a perfect fit, I recommend the Wire Loom, 1/2" Diameter (per Foot) # 459075-1.

These are self-adjusting brakes so there is no need for manual adjustments after the initial installation. • Replacing Chewed Up Power Wires On A Lippert PSX2 Stabilizer Motor
I do have a solution for you even though Lippert does not offer a replacement power cord/boot for your Lippert PSX2 Stabilizer Motor # LC759091. First we'll start with the wires running to your trailer's battery. Strip back the black casing and individual wiring casing to expose a little bit more braided wire. You can attach some 12 gauge wire # 12-2-1 to these wires using some heat shrink butt connectors # DW05744-5 for a water tight seal. You'll maybe only need a foot of wire to comfortably...

  • Can 12V Source Other than Battery Be Used When Installing Trailer Harness On 2017 Lexus NX
The problem with attaching the 12V hot wire to any 12V plug or accessory in the vehicle is that the plug you found may be on a circuit with another item in your Lexus. You really want to make sure the wiring harness is on a circuit by itself. That way it protect the vehicle electrical system if anything happens like damage or a short. There is an inline fuse with the # 118652 harness that protects the converter and the wiring. I do not recommend using any 12V source other than the battery...

  • Heavy Gauge Wiring For Lighting Functions on Trailer
The 4 pole wiring harnesses we offer for trailers are pretty consistent when it comes to the wire gauge. The right turn/brake, left turn/brake and running lamp circuit wires are typically 18 gauge and the ground wire is typically 16 gauge. This is pretty much industry standard. However, the Hopkins Easy-Pull harness, part # HM38136 has a design that will eliminate the typical failure point of a 4 pole trailer harness, which is the point where the harness meets the plug. The plug features...
