There is another option but the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock # PAL8120Q you were looking at is for a 2007-2014 GMC Sierra or Chevrolet Silverado.

For your 2020 Toyota Tacoma you will need the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock # PL54FR which will not require drilling. The Pop & Lock # PL54FR will bolt to your factory tailgate handle and the included wiring harness will connect to a black and blue wire located by the driver side B-Pillar on your vehicle which allows it to be locked and unlocked with your factory Key FOB and factory switches.

Since you mentioned wanting to install a separate switch that powers the tailgate lock separate from your factory locks, you can can use the Universal Switch Kit # PAL9520 which will require you to make a hole large enough in your vehicle large enough for the switch fit in. You will also need Butt Connectors # DW05714, 14 Gauge Wire # DW02412-1 which is sold by the foot, and ATM Micro Dual Fuse Tap # 3375601007. I included a video of the Switch Kit # PAL9520 that goes over installing the switch. The rough cut out you will need to make to install the switch is 1-5/8" x 3/4".
