Today we're going to review part number AM90077. This is the Americana stainless steel trailer wheel center cap designed to fit wheels that have a 4.25 pilot hole diameter. How this cap is a rust proof, polished, stainless steel cap, has the black removable plug in the middle. How this polish cap adds a nice decorative finishing touch to your trailer wheels. It is again designed to fit a wheel that has a center hole or pilot hole diameter of 4.25 inches. I'll give you a dimension on the cap itself.
The height of it from the bottom to the very top. Put a ruler on that it's going to be about 4 and 3/8 inches. The overall height, and I happened to pull a trailer tire and wheel here. It's a 16 inch 6 lug wheel and the pilot hole diameter that you have to measure to make sure this cap would work on is the large hole here in the center of your wheel that goes over the hub on your trailer. This wheel is a 4.25 diameter so this cap will work on there. When you go to install it, what you'll do is before you put your wheel and tire up on to your trailer take your center cap, slide it through the back, there's a little ridge on it.
When you slide it through the ridge will hold it in place. Then when you go to put your wheel and tire up onto your axle and then you tork down your lug nuts, that'll hold the cap into place so it won't go anywhere. Again, if you notice that black center cap, it is removable and the reason they do that . There's a little cut out there if you just look for it. Let's turn this cap around ...
There it is right there. There's a little cutout where you can put your screwdriver underneath it and then you can just pop the center cap out. When you do that that'll give you access to if your trailer has ez lube axles. On ez lube axles they have a little grease zerk fitting on the end that you put a grease gun on and pump it in. This will give you access to those ez lube axles. When you're done you can just put your cap back in and it'll pop in to cover it.
That should do it for the review on part number AM90077 this is the Americana stainless steel trailer wheel center cap with the black plug, designed to fit 4.25 inch pilot hole diameter wheels. .

I am replacing the tires on my trailer. The wheel hubs (center caps) on my 2011 trailer with aluminum / chrome wheels are quite dented and rusty. So I thought that I would replace them while the wheels were off for new tires. I found these ones on etrailer, and noticed they are Stainless Steel. So I ordered a set of 4. They are just what I wanted. They are shiny (look like chrome plated) (not the dull finish in the photo - that is done to eliminate camera glare). I used a magnet on these, and they are SS. Should not rust. Will be installing in the next few days. I will add if there are any issues.

On my 5th wheel camper the factory chrome caps already had a lot of rust on them. This was only after 3 years. I keep the camper in a building away from the sun - snow - rain and keep them waxed.
When i installed my new rims and new stainless lugnuts i bought these new stainless caps.
They look great and fit center of new ribs good
I hope they hold up better then factory. I will know in 3 years.

I have always loved everything I have bought from you. Everytime I need something I always go to etrailer first and make sure you do not have it. I am getting ready to retire next year and I will be slowing down about buying anything but I will check with you if I need anything. Easy to install. Fit our wheels perfectly. I have had them installed now for a year and they look great. Plastic endcap is easily removable to provide access to grease fitting on buddy bearings.

So I forgot to order center caps for the new wheels.
The wheels arrived with lug nuts and valve stems within days of ordering and all was packaged like it should be.
But alas I forgot the caps so Friday afternoon I call back and I get Superwoman (Tanith) at customer service who has my previous order up instantly to match for the correct caps. It’s late afternoon on Friday she emails to let me know the order has been pulled packaged and shipped.
