Today we're going to review part number AM90077. This is the Americana stainless steel trailer wheel center cap designed to fit wheels that have a 4.25 pilot hole diameter. How this cap is a rust proof, polished, stainless steel cap, has the black removable plug in the middle. How this polish cap adds a nice decorative finishing touch to your trailer wheels. It is again designed to fit a wheel that has a center hole or pilot hole diameter of 4.25 inches. I'll give you a dimension on the cap itself.
The height of it from the bottom to the very top. Put a ruler on that it's going to be about 4 and 3/8 inches. The overall height, and I happened to pull a trailer tire and wheel here. It's a 16 inch 6 lug wheel and the pilot hole diameter that you have to measure to make sure this cap would work on is the large hole here in the center of your wheel that goes over the hub on your trailer. This wheel is a 4.25 diameter so this cap will work on there. When you go to install it, what you'll do is before you put your wheel and tire up on to your trailer take your center cap, slide it through the back, there's a little ridge on it.
When you slide it through the ridge will hold it in place. Then when you go to put your wheel and tire up onto your axle and then you tork down your lug nuts, that'll hold the cap into place so it won't go anywhere. Again, if you notice that black center cap, it is removable and the reason they do that . There's a little cut out there if you just look for it. Let's turn this cap around ...
There it is right there. There's a little cutout where you can put your screwdriver underneath it and then you can just pop the center cap out. When you do that that'll give you access to if your trailer has ez lube axles. On ez lube axles they have a little grease zerk fitting on the end that you put a grease gun on and pump it in. This will give you access to those ez lube axles. When you're done you can just put your cap back in and it'll pop in to cover it.
