Features to know about

Seamless Connections without Hassle: Custom Fit T-One Connector

Say goodbye to the tedious cutting, splicing, or tapping of wires with the T-One connector. This custom vehicle wiring harness is designed to plug directly into your vehicle's existing wiring, providing a 4-way flat trailer connector to power your trailer's signal lights. It's a straightforward plug-and-play solution, fully compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole, and 7-pole adapters.

Reliable and Sturdy: 16-Gauge Bonded Wire

Worried about wear and tear? This wiring harness is constructed with durable 16-gauge bonded wire, ensuring longevity and reliability. Built to withstand the elements, it comes with a dust cap for the 4-way flat connector to further protect against dirt and corrosion.

Maximum Power, Minimum Stress: 7.5 Amps per Circuit

With a maximum amperage of 7.5 amps per circuit, this harness is capable of efficiently powering your trailer's electrical system without overheating. It's built to handle your towing needs, whether it's a small utility trailer or a larger setup.

Conceal with Confidence: Secure Stowage Near the Hitch

Post-installation, the connector is neatly stowed beneath your vehicle near the trailer hitch. For added security and to keep it in place, a mounting bracket is recommended.

Problem-Free Installation: No Converter Needed

When using the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with your Ford Explorer, there's no need for an additional converter. This custom-fit harness plugs directly into the vehicle's factory connectors, providing all the necessary protection without extra components.

Effortless Upkeep: Easy to Maintain

To ensure continued performance and prevent corrosion, it's recommended to apply a small amount of grease to all electrical connections. This simple step helps keep both the automobile and 4-pole connector in optimal condition.

Installation

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located beneath the rear of your vehicle, on the passenger's side.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

This is an excellent product. I installed it in about five minutes without the need for tools. The directions were clear and easy to follow.

by:

If you can plug in a cord in a wall switch you can wire your trailer lights. The directions were a little confusing since it assumed you had a trailer light harness . I would think if you bought this harness that you did not have trailer lights . But the plug they instructed you to find was there . All you have to do is separate the plug on the car and plug the wiring harness plug in the slot . Done deal . Took longer the wire tie the cord than it did to install the harness. Did the whole install in about 10 minutes. I did call the Etrailer when my plug did not look like the one in the directions and they instructed me just to separate the existing plug and install the harness plug . Good product good service

This was my first purchase from etrailer.com. I am always reluctant to order from a new site because of security reasons. I did research and found that your business was highly regarded by BBB and through site safety checks. I'm glad that I made this purchase. I received that item timely and was able to install it in about 10 minutes, and it worked correctly the first time without have to make any adjustments. The price was the best that I could find. I will recommend your site to all my friends. Keep up the great work!

2012 Ford Explorer

Easiest wiring project I've ever done. Once you figure out that you need to use the black plug on the 2012 Ford Explorer (and not the white one right next to it) it takes seconds to complete the connection process. Wrapping the connections up in electrical tape for protection takes the most time.

by:
2012 Ford Explorer

Very impressed with the service, delivery, installation video and the actual installation itself.

Would certainly recommend this website to anyone.

Thank you again for the prompt, prpfessional service.

by:

I love the plug and play. This is NOT an aftermarket spliced-in model but one that matches my car and extremely easy to install. Most importantly, I don't have drill, drag or cut anything - just plug it in

2011 Ford Explorer

Easy to install. Works perfectly. I was annoyed at some Ford Parts reps at local dealers who say the wiring cannot be adapted for a trailer because the vehicle wasn't ordered with the trailer package. However, a few of the parts dealers who were contacted did say it was possible to install trailer wiring but the Ford part cost $80 and they wanted 1 hour of labor. It was annoying to get these mixed signals. On the other hand, eTrailer.com showed a good picture of the part and the phone help cleared up any confusion. Ford should take a few lessons to improve their customer service.

Installation: My 2011 Explorer Ltd has 2 connectors but there was no mistake about which connector was for the trailer lights because the trailer connector would only fit with one of the Explorer's connector. Helpful tip: in order to pull apart the connector, PRESS the tab. Don't pry it or lift it up it will break.

Purchasing from etrailer.com was the best online purchase experience I have ever had, beginning to end, including the installation of my hitch. The website was extremely easy to find what I needed, the ordering process quick and simple, the automated follow-up emails provided the information that I needed. I had the opportunity to call and talk to the sales staff to append an existing order and they were very courteous and made quick work of the order change. The online installation video made the installation fool proof (even for me) and proved invaluable. Given the opportunity, I would go to etrailer.com for all my applicable vehicle products. You guys get an A++

2011 Ford Explorer

I just bought a new 2011 Ford Explorer, I need to tow a small utility trailer. I was unsure how this harness would be plugged in, but it was so easy a 5 year old could do it. I found the Ford provided trailer harness behind the right rear tire above the muffler, this harness clipped right in, I used the original cap on the other end to cap the male end off.
I have only one bad comment, the zip ties provided are not long enough to go around the trailer hitch pipe. So I doubled up or used ones I had. There is plenty of length to get me to the hook up. Make sure you keep it away from the hot pipes. See attached pics. I submitted a couple questions to etrailer.com and they were very responsive.

When we installed the Curt hitch part # C13386 on a 2013 Ford Explorer like yours we found the distance from the top of the hitch opening down to the ground to be 16-1/4 inches.
