Features to know about

Effortless Installation: No Cutting or Splicing Required

Say goodbye to complicated trailer wiring installations with the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness from Tekonsha. Designed as a custom fit for your vehicle, this harness plugs directly into your existing wiring without the need for cutting or splicing. Simply locate the connection points beneath your rear bumper, and plug in the T-connector. It’s as simple as plug and play, making it accessible for even the most novice DIY enthusiasts.

Versatile Compatibility: Connects Seamlessly with Various Adapters

Whether you have a 5-pole, 6-pole, or 7-pole adapter, this wiring harness has got you covered. It’s compatible with multiple types of trailer connectors (sold separately), ensuring you can adapt to various towing needs without any hassle. This versatility saves you time and effort when connecting different trailers.

Built to Last: Durable 16-Gauge Bonded Wire

When it comes to wiring, durability is crucial. This wiring harness features 16-gauge bonded wire, designed to withstand the demands of towing while resisting corrosion. It even comes with a dust cap for the 4-way flat connector, adding an extra layer of protection and extending the life of your wiring setup.

Custom Fit for Your Vehicle: Installation Points for Optimum Fit

The T-One harness is specifically tailored for an ideal fit on your vehicle. It connects at the rear, on both the driver’s and passenger’s sides, fitting snugly and securely. Once installed, the connector stays stowed beneath your vehicle near the trailer hitch, reducing visibility while maintaining functionality.

Ample Power Support: 7.5 Amps Per Circuit Capability

Powering your trailer's signal lights efficiently, this wiring harness provides up to 7.5 amps per circuit. It ensures that your trailer lights operate smoothly, whether you’re making use of your brake lights, signals, or hazard lights. This capability ensures reliability for safe and secure towing.

Reliable Performance: Corrosion Prevention with Electrical Grease

To combat corrosion and ensure long-lasting performance, it’s recommended to use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections—the plugs on your vehicle as well as the 4-pole connector. This simple step ensures that your connections remain strong and effective, even after extended use.

Installation

  • This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located at the rear of your vehicle, on both the driver's and passenger's sides. You will find the harness behind protective covers near the rear bumper.
  • Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
  • It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

  • 7-Way Trailer Wiring Recommendation for 2002 Jeep Wrangler
You will need to start with a 4-way (if you do not have one). For that you would want the # 118409. Now if your trailer does not have brakes all you would need is the part # 37185 as an adapter to convert the 4-way to a 7-way. If you do have trailer brakes you would need the # ETBC7 instead of the # 37185 and a brake controller. This kit comes with everything needed to wire up the 7-way and install a brake controller. For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller...

  • Can the Fuel Tank Be Removed from 2001 Jeep TJ With Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver 13408 Installed
From what I have found, there are four bolts holding the fuel tank in place at the back of your 2001 Jeep TJ. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13408 covers these bolts once it is installed, so it would have to be uninstalled in order to access them and remove your fuel tank. I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13430 instead. This hitch sits slightly further back, leaving those bolts accessible. There should be plenty of clearance to remove the fuel tank, although it may make...

  • Recommended Timbren Axle-Less System And Electric Trailer Brakes For M416 Trailer
I would be happy to recommend the correct Timbren axle-less system and electric trailer brake setup for the M416 trailer you are rebuilding. Starting with the Timbren system I recommend the 2000lb system # ASR2KHDS02 which will be plenty highly rated for your trailer and cargo, and is designed for wide tires like what you'd typically find on a M416 trailer like yours. Since the wheels that are used on the M416 trailer have a 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern, I recommend two of the Trailer Hub and...

  • Troubleshooting Wrong Trailer Wiring Harness Being Used on a 2000 Jeep Wrangler
You are correct, the Plug-N-Tow (TM) Vehicle Wiring Harness, item # 32625, only plugs into a connection point on the driver side on the vehicles it is confirmed as a fit for. This is because Jeep has already run all the necessary wires to that port for you, so you do not have to run the wires across yourself, as you would have to with other models that plug into both the driver and passenger taillights. The issue you are experiencing is due to the fact that this harness is designed for...

Both can fall under the umbrella of a Wrangler so you will be able to use Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, # 118409. I have included a link to the installation details and a video showing a typical installation on a 2006 Jeep Wrangler for reference.

Your trailer connector is considered a wishbone connector. A wishbone connector splits the running light circuit into two separate wires. Then you have a wire carrying the left turn/brake light circuit, wire for right turn/brake light circuit and white wire for ground. Since your connector has 6 wires you probably...

  • Parts Needed to Install 7-Way Trailer Wiring Harness in 2005 Jeep Wrangler
The reason the wiring harness of the Hopkins 7-Way Kit part # HM40975-11933 seems short is because it's for connecting to existing trailer wiring on your 2005 Jeep Wrangler. If your Wrangler did not have a 7-way present at the rear of it then this would not work. You will need to start with a 4-way (if you do not have one). For that you would want the # 118409.
