The bracket system uses existing vehicle mounting points, so installation doesn't require drilling into the cargo-area floor or making a permanent modification. Once installed, the tray is secured to the cargo floor for a fixed setup, while the heavy-duty slide mechanism lets you pull loaded gear out toward the tailgate and return it to the cargo area when you're done.
