Ellen: Hey, everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're taking a quick look at the Replacement Retainer Clip for your CURT Round Bar Weight Distribution. So something happened to that original clip, maybe got knocked off or bent or some other way damaged, this is a direct replacement from the manufacturer to get you out there on the road again with your weight distribution. So let's take a closer look. You're going to get the two retaining clips, the set pins, and the screws to get those attached. So basically, this is just going to sit on the front of the head or actually what would be facing towards the rear towards your spring bars.
And whenever you go to remove those spring bars, this is what you would be pulling forward to get those to release.It's going to be pulling on the pins here, which are going to be inside. So as you pull this out, it allows that bar to slip down since that pin is being pulled out of it. The little screws there are what actually attach them to the head assembly. So pretty easy to replace. This kit should be a pretty simple fix.
Might take you 5, 10 minutes to get these switched out for the new ones. That's pretty much all there is to it for our quick look at the CURT Spring Bar Retainer Package. A lot tighter than old ones
Easy install, and it was an exact fit.
The screw diameter was too small. I had to find 2 new screws with larger diameter for it to fit my hitch.
Our 1987 Featherlight pulls like a dream impart due to the load leveler. These replacement pieces fit perfectly to original equipment. Highly recommend.

I bought this product because the rivet broke on my weight distribution hitch. I was worried that I would not be able to attached the new clip. I gave it a shot because it was way cheaper that getting a new hitch. The rivet is replaced with a screw that fits perfectly. Installed the new clip in less than 2 minutes. I am very glad etrailers offers this product. Etrailers shipped right away. Arrived a day late because of the local post office. I will make more purchased from etrailers.

Its perfect. So nice to be able to find replacement parts at a reasonable price.
The product is fairly straightforward and for most trailer hitches probably easy to use. For me however the instructions were far simpler than my experience could show. Simply cutting the head of the old bolt off and punching the bolt through was not possible. Instead I had to drill out the old bolt (which was welded from the inside) re-tap the hole, (the tap broke off in the hole) all said and done, took a little over 3 hours which should have taken 10 minutes. 10 of 10 would buy again though!
I have an EAZ weight distribution hitch with the round bars, and this worked perfectly. The little screws didn't screw in at all, I just hammered them in like the pins that were in there previously.
Product was just as described. Have ordered from trailer before and am always happy with quality and condition and timeframe of orders.

These were a direct replacement for the parts that fell out of my weight distribution hitch. Would buy again.
My order arrived as promised and was exactly what I needed. I was telling my neighbor about your company and how I enjoy the professional service, when he said; I just received my stainless steel boat trailer parts yesterday from etrailer. The spring bar retainer for the round bar style weight distribution worked perfect. I like the fast shipping E-trailer provided. I would order again from E-trailer.
Was the exact product I needed. I needed it rather soon as we were taking a camping trip. I was able to recieve the product and it was placed on my camping hitch in time to take the trip.
I didn't know if I was ever going to find these parts but these folks had them! Just be careful to know which company's trailer hitch you have - etrailer sent me my parts quickly and now I can "tow in peace!"
