Question:

This spring bar is held in place on the hitch by two interesting pins that I am having a hard time finding a replacement for. Perhaps you can tell me where I can find that? When you look at this pin from the outside of the hitch it looks like a piece of shiny thin metal about 1/2 inch wide by a couple inches in length with two studs, one near the top and the other near the bottom, the shiny thin piece of metal bows. It is on the hitch, the spring bar slides up in the hole on the hitch and these clips snap into the groove and hold the bar in place. I need to replace the pin on the left and am currently holding it in place with gorilla tape. You can see the tape in the picture.

Reese does not offer the spring bar retainer clips like you have referenced. The really good news is that you can use either the Replacement Spring-Bar Release Clip # FA94-02-1059 or Curt # 17109. These clips will work as replacements for the hitch you have pictured.
