When you’re towing a big trailer in crosswinds or getting passed by a semi, sway can sneak up fast. The Blue Ox SwayPro uses a positive caster angle built into the hitch head to help the trailer self-center behind you. It’s the same concept that keeps your steering wheel straight after a turn. The built-in trunnions apply constant tension, holding the spring bars tight so your trailer tracks straight and resists sway. The result is smooth, quiet towing—no friction pads, no grinding, no noise.
Heavy tongue weight can make your tow vehicle sag and your headlights point at the sky. This system distributes up to 2,000 lbs of tongue weight evenly across the axles to restore balance and control. It’s rated for up to 20,000 lbs gross towing weight and includes a 2-5/16" hitch ball and 2-1/2" shank. Once it’s set, your truck and trailer feel like one unit—steady, level, and ready for long hauls.
Getting ready to tow doesn’t need to be a wrestling match. The rotating clamp-on lift brackets make hookup simple—just drop in the chain and rotate the bracket with the included wrench until the lock pin engages. No need to muscle highly tensioned bars into place. The hitch head comes out of the box with just the right preset angle, so setup is straightforward. Lock the trunnion bars in place with the included pins and clips, and you’re ready to roll.
Some weight distribution systems make you remove components before reversing, but the SwayPro lets you back up wherever you need to go. The built-in sway control stays active even in reverse, so you can park, turn, or back into tight spots without extra steps. It’s convenient for frequent stops and makes campground maneuvering much easier.
This system is built from powder-coated steel for long-term durability and corrosion resistance. Grease zerks inside the head assembly make maintenance quick and clean—no disassembly needed. Everything you need comes in the box: head assembly, adjustable shank, spring bars, lift chains, rotating brackets with handles, reducer bushing, pin and clip, hitch ball, and hardware. It’s a solid, dependable setup designed to keep heavy trailers steady for the long haul.

You need to get a little better on the pins holes that connect the bars to to equalizing head. On the under slung I bought the bar pin holes did not line up with the pin holes on the head. I had to drill it out to get the bar retaining pin to go through. Otherwise it was all good.

Haven't opened the product yet, but etrailer's service was phenomenal. It took less than 5 minutes to order the product, and within an hour of the purchase I got an email saying the hitch had shipped. I was expecting a delay with the current events taking place, but I was shocked to have the hitch on my porch the very next day.
By far the best weight distribution/sway control I've ever owned. Made a huge difference on a 24' enclosed cargo trailer with 14k GVWR. Highly recommend.
Very well made easy installation seems to work well on short test drive will know more when I travel the Interstate highway

Significantly better than the one the RV dealer sold us with the camper. 2000# hitch handles the 39 foot toyhauler flawlessly. Lots of adjustment ability with it.
I have 2 trailers and had this on a 34 foot travel trailer that weighs 9200 fully loaded. The weight distribution and sway control was subpar at best. My husky centerline rode better and controlled sway and weight distribution. Had to put this on the smaller of our travel trailers because it didn't do the job.
Looks well built and well thought out. If you ever switch to a heavier trailer you can just purchase new bars and keep the rest. I researched videos on YouTube and there was one negative review, blue ox made corrections and resolved those minor issues with the wrench slipping. I’m using this for an 18,000 lb stacker trailer and it is the only hitch I could find rated for the heavier trailers.

I actually had to get a different product however it worked fine on a smaller trailer
