Spring Bar Ground Clearance Estimate for Blue Ox Weight Distribution System
Updated 09/16/2019 | Published 09/13/2019 >
Question:
I would like to know how low does the spring bar hang below the top of the trailer frame when fully hooked up? I have a lower race trailer I would like to put this on but am worried the bars might hang too low on it. Thanks!

That's a hard number to give as there are variables that will change what that dimension will be like how tall the frame is, how much spring bar tension is needed etc. You fine tune the spring bar tension for the setup based on the tongue weight of the trailer/tow vehicle which affects the angle that the bars need to point at as well as how many links will be used. It could easily hang 6 inches below or even taller than that. In general though trunnion bar setups like this have better ground clearances than round bar setups.
