When your truck is working harder under tow, factory brakes can feel slower to respond. This front brake upgrade kit pairs severe-duty brake pads with heat-managing rotors for strong initial bite and predictable braking through repeated stops.
Adding trailer weight changes how your truck responds when you press the brake pedal, especially during sudden stops or repeated braking. These brake pads use a severe-duty, low-metallic friction formula that delivers a strong initial bite, while the matched rotors use OEM-style vanes to help manage the added heat towing creates. Together they give your truck a more immediate, predictable braking response that stays consistent through repeated stops.
Brake vibration often traces back to uneven rotor machining or inconsistent braking surfaces, especially after repeated heat cycles. The rotors use computer-controlled castings with fly-cut, mill-balanced construction and meet or exceed OE specifications for machining tolerances. A non-directional cross-hatch finish promotes even pad bed-in, helping your brake service start with uniform contact and maintain smooth pedal feel as your truck accumulates miles.
Fresh brake components often need a break-in period before they reach their intended performance. These brake pads use positive mold manufacturing to produce consistent density and precise dimensions, then add a bed-in coating that improves initial pedal feel and shortens the break-in process. Multi-layer vulcanized rubber shims help limit the extra noise commonly associated with high-bite low-metallic pads, so your truck delivers responsive braking without unnecessary chatter.
Road spray, moisture, and winter conditions often leave exposed brake components looking rough long before the friction surface wears out. The G3000 premium raw iron rotors use an OnyxBond matte black coating on the hat, vanes, and edges to help reduce rust on exposed non-friction surfaces. Your brake components stay in better condition between services while continuing to provide the smooth braking performance they were designed to deliver.
Replacing brakes is a job many experienced DIYers can handle, but brakes are one of those projects where being almost right is still wrong. If you would rather leave it to a professional, find an installer near you.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Timbren front wheel BES brake upgrade kit. Now this has been designed to fit your 2011 to 2018 Ram 1500, and then your 2019 to 2024 1500 Classic. On custom fit parts such as this kit, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer, pop in the year, make, and model of your vehicle, answer any other questions that it might have for you. And that fit guide will confirm if this kit will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. So upgrading the suspension of your truck is going to improve the ride quality.
It's going to help reduce the sag when you're towing or hauling heavy loads. It's going to overall make your truck feel more stable while you're towing or hauling, but it does not reduce the extra workload that's placed on your factory brakes. So if you've ever felt like your truck was taking longer to stop with the trailer, or maybe your brakes we inchesre wearing out a little bit faster than expected, or that added weight is making your braking feel less confident, that's where this BES brake upgrade kit is going to come into play. This kit is designed to give your truck stronger, more consistent braking when it's carrying those heavier loads. These low metallic onyx bite brake pads are going to provide a strong initial bite and eliminate the brake fade that occurs with frequent stopping when towing.
So you're going to notice a more confident, consistent braking performance on every road trip. And then on the back here, we have this multi-layered rubber shim that's going to help stabilize the brake pads during braking. And as you can see there, I've got a few photos there for you on your screen. The first photo is a closeup of a shim from Timbren, just showing you the construction and the different layers there. The second photo shows you what that brake pad looks like with the shim removed just to give you a better idea of the construction of the brake pad itself.
So those shims are going to help reduce vibration. It's going to keep brake noise to a minimum without sacrificing braking performance. Now these positive molded pads are paired with these precision balance rotors and together they're going to promote smooth, even braking and more consistent pedal feel. Speaking of these rotors, these are OEM style vented rotors. So that's going to help dissipate heat during repeated stops to help reduce brake fade when towing.
And these are premium G3000 raw iron rotors, and they feature Timbren's OnyxBond matte black coating on the hat, veins, and outer edges. As you know, heat is the enemy of brakes. So this OnyxBond coating has a heat threshold of up to 932 degrees Fahrenheit, which is 67% better than the standard GEOMET coating that's most commonly used on OEM parts. This coating also helps protect them from rust caused by road spray, moisture, and winter driving, keeping your brakes looking cleaner between services without affecting braking performance. By the way, these pads also feature a bed end coating indicated by the blue stripe that you see here. This is going to transfer to the rotor to protect it during the first stop. So you're going to be able to enjoy consistent braking performance sooner after installation. Insulation's going to be pretty straightforward. Everything that you see here on my table is going to be included in this kit. But if you do need help with installation on this product page underneath the photo section, we have a link that will take you to our installer locator. Click that link, answer the questions that it has for you. And that locator will find an installer in your area that etrailer has partnered with to install this for you. But if you've already upgraded the suspension on your truck and you're getting that smoother, more controlled ride, this brake kit is going to compliment that suspension upgrade. And it's going to give your truck the stopping power and the confidence to better handle that extra weight while you're towing or hauling those heavy loads. Together they're going to create a more safe and more capable towing setup. I think it's going to wrap up our look today. Again, my name's Andy, thank you for joining me.
