Reduced axle sag with Timbren suspension enhancement

Just like the rear of your vehicle will sag under the weight of a fully loaded bed, the front of your vehicle will sag when under the burden of heavy equipment such as a snowplow. In this case, the front axle is handling not only the weight of the equipment, but also more of the vehicle's weight. Overall vehicle handling - traction, steering, and braking - is negatively affected. But the resistance from Timbren's Suspension Enhancement System works with your factory suspension to keep your vehicle level and improve your driving experience.

Install diagrams of Timbren hollow rubber springs

The Timbren system comes with custom-fit brackets that are bolted onto each frame rail above your front axle. Hollow rubber springs are bolted to the bottom of the bracket and hang down so that the bottom of each spring touches the axle. Because each spring is making constant contact with the axle, it is always working to cushion and support your factory suspension.

Animation of a standard Timbren rubber spring

Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems are designed to work progressively. When the hollow rubber springs are compressed, the convoluted design causes them to quickly collapse along the folds. Once the folds are compacted, the stacked barrel shape increases resistance, stiffening the suspension and keeping your vehicle level.

Timbren suspension system works to prevent body roll

Each hollow rubber spring works independently to support the driver's-side or passenger's-side of your vehicle. This is helpful when you swerve or make sharp turns. Each spring is activated when it is needed, so body roll is greatly reduced. The independent action also works well when you're carrying off-center loads.

A snowplow mounted to the front of the truck will require extra suspension support for the front axle.

Timbren's Suspension Enhancement System will help raise the front end of your vehicle when you're using heavy equipment like a snowplow. This ensures that your headlight beams will be pointed in the right direction and tire wear will be reduced. If the plow is off-center or has an extension, the springs will automatically compensate for this as well.

An empty truck on a bumpy road without Timbren

Another great feature of the rubber construction is that the springs absorb most of the road shock, creating a smoother, more stable ride overall. Wear and tear on the factory suspension is also lessened because the rubber springs work to prevent bottoming out on rough roads.

Timbren Suspension Enhancement Compared to the Competition

Timbren's Suspension Enhancement Systems are much easier to install than air springs - there are no air hoses to run, no compressors or gauges to hook up, and no manual adjustments to make. The rubber construction makes Timbren's springs more elastic than similar products constructed of microcellular urethane. More elasticity allows for a more comfortable ride because the rubber has more travel.

by:

easy installed !! have not take pickup out and test it with enclosed trailer.

by:

Works well. Pain to install but does the job. Don't attempt to install without air impact

by:

The Staff of etrailer were outstanding in helping with my orders. Packages came in a day early (that was great)

by:

Great product, but I had to go buy my own hardware to mount ,the nuts that came with kit would not fit the bolts way too big.

by:

Very fast delivery, good product, worked as advertised. It solves the sagging when my trailer is hitched.

by:

RV handles curves much better then before, more solid handling.

by:

So far everything is working. Just as I though. The only complaint I have is the wait time that it took (12) days from the order date to when I receive the item.

by:

These are exactly what my truck needed for the heavy loads I put into the bed.

by:

Really makes a difference when hauling a heavy gooseneck.

by:

I have not put any weight on it yet so that will come later. I have a 2007 G.M.C. 2500 H.D. and I pull a 40 foot Big Horn Traveler. What I want to talk about is the install. It was quick only took about a hour. Take the tire down and start. Had no problems it went just like the video showed. I did not use the big washer I didn't have enough room.I have about 1 inch of travel before they come in to play so ride is the same.

by:

Takes the sag out for a bargain, but not as good as real springs

by:

Super easy to install. After reading several reviews about this product and how folks went about installing, found that I just needed to remove just one of the U-Bolts and just barely loosened the second. Replaced both in about 30 minutes. Shipping was quick and was exactly what I ordered. Reviews were helpful and will definitely use etrailer again.

by:

Works great

by:

Bump stops I bought from you are way bigger and so much better than oem. Only took less than 30 minutes to install. It was very easy to install.

by:

great delivery time. I received them this afternoon and installed them in about an hour. thanks to the video that showed everything step by step. thanks for a great product. I think this is just what we needed to help haul our camper and pull our car hauler at the same time. thanks again

by:

by:

Great product, easy to put on. It took less than 45 minutes to put the new Timber butt stops on. Only thing I would request is to tape up the box they cam in, because by the time it travels to your location it’s beat to hell and back. Like the last time I ordered the ones for the front, all the parts were missing. Luckily this time all items were still in the box.

by:

Product fits as described. Will try out when I tow my travel trailer in a few weeks.

by:

Works good when pulling trailer take them out when not pulling for smoother ride only takes about 10 minutes

by:

The rear enhancement springs I ordered was exactly what I ordered. Thank you!!!

by:

Came just as advertised. Waiting to install. As an aside: You might want to make sure all box sides are securely taped as the USPO delivered the box with the un-taped side completely pulled away from the box and the suspension parts were pushing out of the box.

by:

Works great with my slide in camper easy install great product will do the front next

by:

Got them this morning as promised. Haven’t put them to the test yet but installation was a breeze, 30 to 45 minutes. That includes putting away the tools and washing my hands!

by:

Product arrived on time. Installation was easier than the video. Only took me 20 minutes.

by:

Works great. Helps to stabilize my large toy hauler behind my Ram Truck while traveling. My truck stays level with the heavy load.. Highly recommend.

  • Best Way to Control Sway on a 2018 Thor Motor Coach Gemini 24TX
I do have options for you to help control sway on your 2018 Thor Motor Coach Gemini 24TX but they do not make a steering stabilizer for this chassis to my knowledge. Instead, I recommend adding a rear anti-sway bar like the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar for Vans part # RM-1209-131. The rear anti-sway bar is actually going to do more for you in regards to sway control compared to a steering stabilizer. The rear anti-sway bars are also typically the most beneficial enhancement that you can...

  • Timbren or SumoSprings For Front Suspension of 2021 Winnebago View With Sprinter 3500 Chassis
Hi Doug, Adding front helper springs is definitely going to help tighten things up when turning in your 2021 Winnebago View motorhome. Reason is, both Timbrens and SumoSprings will compress when weight is put on them, like when there is body roll as you take those turns with your motorhome. As for the best option, that's the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Front Axle # SSF-106-47. The Timbren # TMBFSP35 will work, but they are notoriously rougher on your ride because they are...

For the front axle of your 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 I recommend the Timbren Front Suspension Enhancement System # TMBFSP35. These Jounce-style springs will help reduce the side-to-side sway you're experiencing. These rubber springs will absorb most of the road shock, creating a smoother, more stable ride overall. Wear and tear on your suspension is also lessened because the rubber springs work to prevent bottoming out on rough roads. For the rear axle I recommend the SumoSprings...

We do have an option for you but for your 2021 Winnebago Revel Mercedes Sprinter 2500 4X4 there are currently no supporting airbag system products available. With it being so new designers haven't been able to produce a fitting product that will give you the smoother ride you're looking for. • Recommended Suspension Enhancement for 2012 Winnebago 24M On Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 Chassis
For your 2012 Winnebago 24M on Mercedes Benz Sprinter 3500 chassis, I recommend the Timbren system consisting of the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TMBRSP35A and # TMBFSP35. Timbren is a stiffer support spring than the SumoSprings, so you will feel the support sooner for your motorhome. These springs become more rigid as weigh it added and they work independently for off-center loads and to reduce body roll. Especially the 7,000 lb rear springs will give more support...

Out of the Timbren # TMBFSP35 and the SumoSprings # SSF-106-47 suspension enhancement systems I recommend the SumoSprings. Although they are very similar the SumoSprings provide more of a cushion and aren't as harsh or stiff as the Timbrens. This gives you a much more comfortable ride. Both options have a 1,000 lb weight capacity but please note that they will not raise the weight capacity of your 2016 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500. The Four Winds Chateau Citation is built on a Mercedes Benz Sprinter Chassis. I checked with SumoSprings and they don't offer any solutions for this chassis but I do have options from Timbren which are very similar to the SumoSprings. They have the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System part # TMBFSP35 for the front and part # TMBRSP25A for the rear so that is what I recommend using. The Timbrens actually provide more support than the SumoSprings.
