Question:

Im looking for front suspension upgrades for my 2021 Winnebago View 2020 Sprinter 3500 chassis. Ive already upgraded the struts and wish that I could add coil over springs but my strut installer is unwilling to do so. Are Timbren/Sumo/Supersprings an option to tighten up the swaying in the front end? If so, which is the best option? BTW...Ive also already upgraded the rear shocks and added an auxilary sway bar. The rear end feels much better but the front is still a bit soft in the turns. Thanks, Doug

Hi Doug,

Adding front helper springs is definitely going to help tighten things up when turning in your 2021 Winnebago View motorhome. Reason is, both Timbrens and SumoSprings will compress when weight is put on them, like when there is body roll as you take those turns with your motorhome. As for the best option, that's the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Front Axle # SSF-106-47.

The Timbren # TMBFSP35 will work, but they are notoriously rougher on your ride because they are a hollow, very dense rubber while the SumoSprings # SSF-106-47 allow more give when turning. This means they won't give you a feeling as jarring as the Timbrens.

Hey Doug, how did things turn out after adding the SumoSprings to the front of your Winnebago View? Did they help settle the body roll in the turns like you were hoping? Your feedback could really help others fine-tune their suspension setup.

Thanks for checking in, Robin. The Sumo Springs helped but...I've still got too much roll on the corners. Can I also add the Sumo Solo Custom Helper Springs or do they replace the earlier installation? Thanks, Doug

@DougH they will be in the same position so I wouldn't expect a real difference. Have you considered adding a rear anti-sway bar like # RM-1209-131? Edit: I missed that in the original, you already have one. Do you have a front sway bar? The # RM24RF works with dually models, looks like that is a dually.
