Hey Richard. To install a set of air bags in your 2016 Ram 1500 I have three different options depending on where you want them placed and if you have a gooseneck or 5th wheel hitch installed inside your bed. I have listed the options below:

Air Lift 1000 Heavy Duty Air Helper Springs item # AL60818HD. This system installs inside your rear coil springs and has a 2,100 lbs support capacity. These will be compatible with an in bed hitch.

Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs item # AL57365. This system installs on the insides of your axle on the inner sides of your Ram's coil springs. They have a 5,000 lbs support capacity and do require drilling. They're not compatible with in bed hitches because they block the attachment points for the brackets.

Please note that there are no air bag systems that are compatible with the factory Air Suspension system.

I recommend adding the Air Lift WirelessONE Compressor System item # AL25980EZ to your truck. This onboard compressor will allow you to adjust the PSI in your air bags from your phone or the included remote.

Do you have a gooseneck or 5th wheel hitch rails installed on your 2016 Ram 1500?

Installed these air bags on my 2020 F-250. If you are hauling loads or pulling a trailer makes a huge difference in leveling out the truck and stabilizing sway. Much better at stabilization of your RV then those ridiculous load bars that the camper place sold you with your RV. Have had air bags on my last 5 trucks. Won't do without them. Note: Order a "Y" for the airline if your kit doesn't include one so that both bags can be filled evenly with one shrader valve.
