Light changes how your Sprinter feels inside. Without it, the rear quarter side panel section stays dark and harder to use. This fixed side panel window replaces that solid section with glass, so you get more daylight and a clear view outside.
This window replaces the solid metal panel in the rear quarter position on the passenger side of your 2007-2009 Dodge Sprinter, 2007-2021 Freightliner Sprinter, or 2010-2026 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a 144-inch wheelbase. Instead of a blank section along the rear portion of the cargo area, you gain a fixed glass panel that adds visibility and natural light without introducing vents or moving parts. That section stays sealed while opening up the side of the van.
When you drive over bumps or uneven pavement, the body of the van moves slightly. The glass in this panel moves with the surrounding metal, which helps reduce stress at the edges and lowers the chance of cracking. To handle that movement, this window uses tempered safety glass that meets DOT and SAE standards for road use.
The rear quarter side panel window sits at eye level from outside and creates a direct sightline into the cargo space. The 17% gray tint limits how much someone can see inside while still allowing visibility out. It also blocks 83% of UV rays, reducing sun exposure through that section of glass.
Cutting into the rear quarter side panel is permanent. The glass has to match the factory contour so the urethane seals evenly against the body. This window follows the original stamping profile, so when it is set into place, the edge matches the panel you just opened up.
After the opening is cut, a continuous bead of automotive urethane (VW74ZR - sold separately) is applied around the perimeter. When the glass is set into place, that urethane bonds it to the body panel and forms the seal that keeps water from entering the wall cavity. This bond secures the glass and creates the weather barrier so you can bring in light without adding a vented opening.

Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at our van windows direct fixed rear quarter side window for your passenger side rear of a 2007 to 2009 Dodge Sprinter, an '07 to 2021 Freightliner Sprinter, and a 2010 through 2026 Mercedes Benz Sprinter. All those should have that 144 inch wheel base and this works both with standard and high roof configurations as well. So there's an image of pretty much where this goes on those vans. Just a quick idea. And if you're building out your cargo van for camping, traveling, or just as a mobile workspace even, this solid rear quarter panel can make the back of the van, rather, feel pretty dark and closed off.
So this window will lighten that up, swap that metal out with a solid section of glass, bring in more natural light, and you're gonna have a clear view outside. Now you can see it is a tinted window, it's a 17% privacy tint. And this is going to limit how much solar can one see inside and also how much sunlight reflects back out. So it does a great job of reflecting light back. And this will pretty much block 83% of those UV rays, helping reduce sun exposure, and helping to keep the heat down.
Now, as far as install, you're gonna have to cut out the stamped metal where this would go with there and then you would install this tempered safety glass with the black urethane made for windows. And that urethane is gonna not only just hold it in place, but it also becomes the primary weather seal for the window as well. So just keep that in mind that is sold separately. If you don't want to do the install yourself, we have lots of trusted locations around the country that are affiliated with etrailer. Simply scroll down below and click on the install locator link rather, sorry.
And based on your zip code, we can help pair you up with somebody in your location. Now, unfortunately this one's just too big for me to fully turn, but it's basically got a little curve to it, matches the contour of the vehicle. And again, as you can see, it's got the tints and everything on there. So this is going to be a great option for you. This again is our van windows direct rear quarter side panel for the passenger side.
I'm Steven, thanks for watching.

Thank you for your service
A nice window, installed easily. Edges are not rounded over like factory glass, but this is barely noticeable once the window is installed. Only auto glass nerds will notice. This window appears to be tempered, unlike the factory glass which is laminated, but unless those details are important to you this window is a great deal given the huge savings over the prices of factory glass.
The product was exactly what I needed. Free shipping! Great experience and great value.
