Platinum Plus Warranty with Roadside Assistance

This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with a Platinum Plus warranty that includes complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change out the flat tire with your existing inflated spare tire. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to the roadside assistance, this warranty also includes other benefits and services.

Durable Acrylic Enamel Finish

Maxion Wheels Vesper Acrylic Enamel Finish

This wheel has a durable acrylic enamel finish on the front. The finish is applied after the wheel goes through an environmentally safe zinc phosphate pre-treatment and is coated with an e-coat primer layer. Compared to powder coat finishes, this finish resists getting chipped from flying road debris or scraped from hitting a curb for a longer period of time. These acrylic enamel wheels performed for more than 1,000 hours in salt spray tests.

Improved Torque Retention Technology

Maxion Wheels Vesper Improved Torque Retention

The automotive-rated center disc is raised and the stud holes are beveled and uncoated for better clamp force retention. This technology helps the wheel stay tight against your hub without the need for constant retightening.

Provider Radials with Automotive-Grade Tread

Provider Tread Vs Standard Tread

Unlike standard trailer tire tread, which has solid, continuous ribs, the automotive-grade tread on these Provider radials has ribs with breaks. These breaks allow water to run off to the sides. The Provider tread also has sipes. Siping is a process in which thin grooves (or sipes) are cut into the rubber of the tire. The grooves channel water away from the tread so that the tire makes better contact with the road. Both of these features greatly improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.

Provider radials are constructed with double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Provider radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.

Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires

Radial tire vs bias tire graphic

Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

Video Transcript for Review of Taskmaster Trailer Tires and Wheels - Tire with Wheel - MX57FR

Hello everybody. This is Jeff etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire in a load range C on this 15" Vesper Silver Modular Trailer Wheel with the 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. Now this tire wheel assembly is ideal for stock trailers, utility trailers and campers. The wheel this is on is a nice steel wheel with the modular design. And when we say modular design, that's the one that has the round holes all the way around the wheel, it's very sturdy and rust resistant.

The wheel does go through a three-step finishing process, which will include a zinc phosphate pre-treatment, then an e-coat primer, and then a nice silver acrylic enamel finish on the wheel. And that acrylic enamel finish resists chipping and other damage better than your powder coat finishes. This wheel also uses the ITR technology, which stands for improved torque retention. This is designed to help keep your wheel securely in place on your trailer. They use the uncoated stud holes, which are beveled off for better clamp force retention. And the tire that's mounted on this wheel is a radial tire, it is constructed with double steel belts, double polyester cords, it's great for highway use.

They do also use a nice nylon tread firming belt overlay around the tire, help prevent tread separation. And this tire is bake tested to ensure that the rubber holds up over time. And I wanted to zoom in just to show you the tread design, it is an automotive grade tread. Has the sipes which channel water away from the tire, and the sipes are those cuts. If you look real close on each tread block, you'll see those slits or cuts in it, those are the sipes.

And what that does is it breaks up the water underneath the tire, it gives you good traction during wet snowy or icy conditions. This tire is an ST tire, which stands for special trailer, has sturdy sidewalls so they can handle heavy loads. It's created specifically for trailers, it's not intended for use on other vehicles. This assembly does come with a two year platinum plus warranty, includes emergency tire change service and other benefits. And this assembly does meet the DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and exceeds federal motor vehicle safety standards.A few specs on this, starting with the wheel. The diameter, which is measured inside to inside, is 15 inch diameter.

The width on just this wheel is five inches wide. The wheel does have a bolt pattern of 5 on 4-1/2". And if you want to measure that on a wheel that's an odd number of lugs, like in this case five, what you do is pick any hole, let's say this one. And then you'll measure across to either one of these holes. But when you measure it, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of whichever hole you measure to. So on this wheel, it's going to measure four and a half inches. So it'll be a five lug four and a half inch bolt pattern.Does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20, weight capacity on just the wheel by itself is 2,160 pounds. And the pilot hole diameter, it's the large hole here in the center of the wheel, goes over the hub on your trailer, diameter of that is 3.19 inches. Tire size, which will always be stamped on the sidewall, ST for special trailer, 205/75R15, the R designates that it is a radial tire. Section width on this is eight inches, overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated is 27.1. This is a load range C, which means it's a six ply rated tire, so it does have a maximum load capacity of 1,820 pounds at 50 PSI.And the last thing I do want to mention is the speed rating. All the new trailer tires are coming through with speed ratings now, and they are stamped on the tire, and they're designated by a letter designation. So where are you'll find that is right after the size we just went over. At the very end, you'll see two letter or two numbers for the load index, and then the letter M at the end there. Speed rating M will mean this as an 81 mile per hour speed rating. But that should do it for the review on the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire in a load range C on this 15" Vesper Silver Modular Trailer Wheel with the 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern.

Excellent service! I was immediately notified the wheel I ordered was not available until November but was given another option of a wheel that could ship immediately. etrailer shipped the alternate wheel and I just received it within a few days. The wheel looks just like the original one ordered. I will definitely order from etrailer on all my trailer needs.

I just received these so I can not comment on how good of a tire they are. I bought these to replace 7 year old tires on a cargo trailer that came with it originally. It probably has less than 5000 miles on it. If these last me another 7 years I will be happy. Not sure about having them filled with the nitrogen since this will be the first tires I have ever had it in. Will update review after I have a chance to drive with them on.

  • Determining The Correct Spare Wheel/Tire For Trailer With 5 Lug Wheels and 205/75R15 Tires
I would be happy to help you find the correct spare wheel for your 2021 Bravo Scout Cargo Trailer. Since your trailer has 5 lug hubs it more than likely uses the 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern which is by far the most common 5 lug pattern, but you can confirm this by measuring your current wheels using the included help article. As long as you have the 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern I recommend the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 15" Vesper Silver Mod Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - LR C # MX57FR...

  • Trailer Wheels Compatible with 5 on 5 Inch Bolt Pattern and 2-1/2 Inch Hub Bore
The Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 15" Vesper Silver Mod Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - LR C # MX57FR will not work on your trailer with your current hubs simply because the bolt pattern won't match. You will instead want the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 15" White Mod Wheel - 5 on 5 - LR C # A15R5WMQ. This will work well with your bolt pattern and pilot hole bore.

  • Recommended 15 Inch Wheel/Tires for Tandem Axle 7K Trailer
I'm guessing you have a tandem axle trailer, is that correct? If the 7K figure you mentioned represents the trailer's GVWR (maximum loaded weight to include the weight of the empty trailer plus whatever's loaded on it), you'd want to go with a load range C tire, at minimum to cover the trailer's weight rating. We offer a 205/75-15 load range C Taskmaster Provider tire mounted on a 15 x 5 silver powder coated wheel with a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern as part # MX57FR. The tire has a 1820...

  • Complete Axle-Less Suspension And Electric Brake Setup For 1990 Aliner Camper
I do have a solution for your axle. It looks like you have a torsion axle on your 1990 Aliner Camper, which we do not carry. I recommend going with an axle-less suspension setup. This will replace your current axle and suspension. If you are wanting a 3,500lb rated axle then you can go with Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System Straight Spindle # A35RS545 or go with Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System 4" Drop Spindle # A35RD545 which has 4" drop for lower ground clearance....

  • Determining Parts Needed To Convert Trailer From Hydraulic Brakes To Electric Brakes
I would be happy to recommend the parts you will need to convert your trailer from hydraulic brakes with 14" wheels to electric trailer brakes with new 5 lug wheels, but first we will need to determine a few things about the trailer. First you will need to find out which inner and outer hub bearings your trailer uses. There is two ways to accomplish this, with the easiest being pulling on hub off and checking for the bearing number on each bearing. This number is stamped on the face...
